Google Pixel 2/XL 2 Indian Discussion Thread.

I have been reading too many horror stories about the colour saturation and tint on the Pixel 2 XL screen. Unless we see the phone in person, it would be difficult to make a judgement. Not sure how much this issue will affect sales here in India.

So let explain it this way... I have a nexus 6p with sRGB mode on... And I have a mi pad and my sisters iPad 9.7 pro.... When I have them all set side by side... The colors ranking is iPad>mi pad>nexus 6p.. The 6p shows a yellowish tint.... And I hate it only at that moment.... When I am working with it alone.... I find it pleasing and the best thing I have...
So whenever things were compared we will see issues... Individually the screen is better tuned to sRGB my 2 paise ...

Any idea when these phones will be available in chroma and other stores? I'd at least want to check them out first. I Don't think these phones will go out of stock in India. Even ifthey do, it won't be for long. So it's probably worth the wait to first check them in hand.

The launch offers are peanuts anyway. What do you think Fk will offer this time? Given that these phones have very bad resale value, you're always at a loss.

I have just one question for OG Pixel buyers from Flipkart. How was FK dealing with returns/exchanges. Because if the Pixel 2 screen has bad batches, I'll be exchanging mine till I get the perfect one.

Nah... They'll probably price the 6p for 5k..and we are getting additional 5k on exchange so total is 10k... Plus want to get rid of it before the bootloop start... The battery auto shutdown has already plagued me since 3months

Which color are u gunning for... I'm confused with the novelty factor of black and white ...

Try to check for exchange from the official flipkart mobile app. They have a simple diagnostics tool that runs to check various characteristics like wifi, display, BT etc etc. On the desktop app, when I tried my pixel xl, I got ~17k as exchange price. But when I tried it through the mobile app, it topped out at ~19k.
