Ya google rep at chroma also told that Pixel xl 2 pre order offer will be until 14. As device goes on sale in 15. And i do agree with Nishant, that get the phone from India only. Bcz may be there is a chance that early USA units are having bad screen problems and Indian units might not have it.

Not FK exclusive... Croma has the same offer and others too listed on google store website.... Amazon would probably also get dibs in about a months time after the official launch on 14th Nov. Or so...

Seems like I just might keep my preorder as well... The leaked video of HTC U11plus doesn't entice me about the phone...

P.S. any luck with the accessories... Tempered glass and all...

I ended up ordering tempered glass from AliExpress, but I don't think it will arrive before the phone.

I'm pretty sure international warranty will not covert replacement. Only repair. Other than that the units themselves are identical. So if you get lucky with a perfect device then you're set.

Its a Flipkart exclusive.
Might find its way over on PaytmMall if offline retailers want to sell via that, but probably not anytime soon.

Reliance offers a Jio plan if you have/get a new jio sim and activate it on the phone. 1 year unlimited calls/750gb data (~2gb/day) . Valued on their site at 9999. Real value around 2-3k for most people (who are fine with 1gb/day)


I was exchanging an iPhone I got from the US. Was a far easier experience exchanging that on Flipkart than would be in Reliance.. especially as the touch id is broken.
SO that more than makes up for the Jio offer.

As correctly replied by rkial. Relaince jio 1 year worth free call messages and 750 GB (1 GB every day) Free along with what other offers. I came to know after i pre booked on chroma.

They took out the Now playing part from the Indian ad.
Should we be concerned? I saw the option in the demo unit.

Best case, it doesnt have hindi songs in the database and they dont want to advertise it.. If they disabled the feature in India, that would suck.

If I recall correctly that feature is for the US only. Most likely due to many copyright issues when it comes to other countries.

NO Hindi songs will probably not be recognized...

It does recognize a lot of songs played on the bay area Bollywood radio station which surprised me.

I *think* it's limited to US English language. May be wrong but I remember reading that somewhere. So if one sets that as default language should work.

Sharing my experience with Pixel 2 XL Black 64GB here.

Pre-ordered the device from Croma with all the freebies that Flipkart is offering:
- Rs. 8000 cashback from HDFC
- Free EMIs
- Sennheiser Headsets (https://www.amazon.in/Sennheiser-CX-7-00BT-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B071HT7HZG) worth Rs. 11,990. In US, these cost $149.

With Flipkart, you get to buy the headphones and that too in a window starting 1st of December. With Croma, the headphones will come bundled.
The effective price comes down to be around Rs. 73,000 - Rs. 8000 - Rs. 12000 (if you may) = Rs. 53,000 (~$803).
Moroever, in US, they aren't getting a headphone in the box so if we consider the same bundle there, the price will be $849+$149 = $998.

The best part? An added year of extended warranty.

Confirmed this with Jio & Reliance Digital customer care. Offer applies only if you buy from either Reliance Digital or Jio.com stores. You'll not get the free 1 year Jio benefits from Flipkart.
Pre-booked 1 XL QB 64 from Reliance store itself for this very reason.

Lol. Dhamkis.. ahan.. good. Btw i pre-ordered on chroma store. Does chroma store have any return policy? If yes then anybody knows how many days until we can get a full refund? ( In case the screen comes out to be garbage)
