Me me.. I booked panda variant... And they don't have panda on display anywhere.... So am.prepared for the longest wait possible... Delays and all the inclusive sheet along with the dhamkis to the FK CC...

Flipkart has one of the worst customer services out there, atleast my personal experience with them has been horrible. I don't think your dhamkis will have any affect on them

I don't know Croma but Flipkart doens't have the same policy. In states you can just return a product no questions asked. Flipkart has a 10 day window and will try everything in its power to not to go through with the return from vaeious calls by their customer service people to installing their **** software on your phone to troubleshoot and remotely access your phone. Truly horrible service. They have rejected 2 of my returns earlier. This is the first time I've ordered with them in almost a year.

For anyone wondering.. India will have the Now playing feature.. and the song database will be region specific.. and be updated weekly (if Now playing is turned on / phone is charging / on wifi)

Not sure if the Indian database will be updated weekly as well.. hope it is. pretty cool feature that.

Now playing and assistant are the first features I turn off... Don't find much use....

NDTV's review for pixel 2 xl, now playing feature works in india with both bollywood and english songs however is not as good as shazam or soundhound.

I got pixel 2 yesterday. I have to say, its fast and feels good. Thinner than original pixel. Build quality seems fine. No issues in that. Screen Colors looks fine to me. Don't know why people have made such a hue and cry about it. I have installed beta 8.1 oreo. Camera and speaker sound are the best part. Also tap vibrations tries to stimulate physical buttons haptic feedback. That feels nice. Google has done a good job on pixel2. I have not used now playing feature. Seems irrelevant to me. Fingerprint Seems to be much sensitive than pixel. No lags so far. If only Google could have released a good screen on XL. it blows iphone out of water.

I pre-ordered from Flipkart on 31st Oct. Got mobile on 2nd nov.
Battery backup is superb. I am getting consistently 8hrs SOT. Without gaming. I guess pixel2 XL battery will be even better. Its a worthy successor of pixel.
On the side note. There are reports of Apple accepting that iphone x will have color shift, burn in problems.
Google just failed in PR. Guys don't worry about the screen problem. Oreo 8.1 is fading the nav bars if not used to delay burn in.

One more update. I was in cinema hall and some ads were playing. Out of the blue, my pixel 2 started showing song name on the lockscreen. Then i tested this by playing various songs on the other mobile. And pixel2 got all of them accurately. So i guess now playing is working in India also. That too for Hindi songs.

The release date for pixel 2 xl is 15 Nov. So I guess you should get it by 15 or 16. Didn't they inform you of a delivery date?

They were not very confident about it. They said might be the second week of november.
And just for good measure, I checked with reliance digital. They said first week of november. Anybody receive anything yet from croma or reliance?

I think you'll probably get it after 15th only as it says on Google's website that deliveries for 2 xl will start on 15th November.
