I like the design, what I'm personally disappointed in, especially where they've made the 2 models so close in size, is that they didn't go larger on the Pro version... instead of 6.7"...go for the gusto... especially where is older folks, like to read our Newspaper subscription's on our phones...make it 6.9" like the possibly extinct, Note Plus...

Or you know what, lead instead of following, make the Pro version 7 inches...

Supply issues might be at work causing problems here. It's not just chips, it's everything that gets shipped to and from major ports overseas, and snowballs from there. I'm tempering my expectations for every new product everywhere.

I get the want big but at some point, You just have to get the hell off the phone and goto a lappy, tablet or DT. It's always a trade-off between readability and portability. I'm ok with portable.

i have had every pixel in the series. More recently my wife is now on the a series. She had the 3a and i just got her the 5a. I myself have the 5 but i only got the 5 because i had the 4 which was a great phone but i work in a job to forces me to wear a mask all day so i needed the fingerprint reader. I decided to go with the pixel 6 and not the pro for now. if i like the 6 and tensor is all they say it is then in a few months i will get a pro and give my wife the 6. and make the 5a a backup. It is always a good idea to have a backup. especially because i don't always have the money to put up to get a replacement right away.
Hey does anyone know what type of fingerprint reader is in the 6? Is it optical or ultra sonic? I assume optical

From what I've read is that it's an optical fingerprint reader.

Hey, are the lasts few post in sign language?
lol. Post #15 translated

I own every pixel in the series. Recently, my wife is now on the a series. She has 3a and I just gave her 5a. I have 5 myself, but I only have 5 because I have 4. This is a great phone, but my work forces me to wear a mask all day, so I need a fingerprint reader. I decided to use pixel 6 instead of pro. If I like 6 and the tensor is what they say then in a few months I will get a professional and give it to my wife 6. And make 5a backup. It is always a good idea to have a backup. Especially because I don't always have the money to replace it immediately. Hey, does anyone know what type of fingerprint reader is in 6? Is it optical or ultrasonic? I assume optical

Is pixel 6 root procedure already out?

Hello all and thanks for all your great suggestions and ideas in advance. I am a Pixel 2 XL owner and recently I got the Pixel 6.
In the past in order to unlock the "hotspot" wireless tethering functionality all I needed to do was:
  1. Root the device (Android 11 | Pixel 2 XL)
  2. Edit the "net.tethering.noprovisioning=true"
Done,

Sure there is a need to install an editor e.g.; builddrop editor app, that will allow making the change on the Android 11 OS.
I come to the forum with the question, what will be the requirement for the new Pixel 6 with Android 12?

Thank you very much in advance.

There is plenty of information in the Pixel 6 threads on rooting and safety net.

Its subjective design. For me, it's NO, and I prefer pixel 5 design

over all im very disappointed in this device.
its been 3 months since "dirty pipes" a serious vulnerability had a fix but google has not fixed it on the pixel 6 yet.

for a google developer device, this device has very little community support. and very poor updating history.
google failed in pretty much every way in the first device they had full control over.
