Any ideas or tips on what to do to cut down these background activity times ? On the apps where it's available I have turned off background data and activity in settings but they still show as running in the background ?.....I have auto sync off for all of my accounts, auto updates off completely. Not sure if this is a Note20U specific problem or not but mine is a US unlocked model. I have factory reset the phone once already with the same results.

I have the same problem. I can't seem to fix it no matter what I have tried.

Did you transfer everything over through Smart Switch? My drain was horrible at first and I did a hail mary factory reset after reading some other forums online. That combined with putting apps to sleep has brought my drain down to about 1.2% for Google Play over 16 hours.

Clearing Google Play cache in your apps might help also, but factory reset was what did it for me.

I initially used Smart Switch then did a factory reset as a last resort to get better battery life and it still didn't help. I have put probably 80% of my apps in deep sleep mode and cleared cache on Google play and it doesn't matter. The highest I have ever gotten still to this day is 5 and 1/2 hours of screen on time.

The best thing I can say and I keep telling everyone this is to go into settings and then apps and then tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner and tap show system apps and seriously go through every single one (and yes I know it's like 300 something apps but still spend the time to do it) go into each app and tap battery and on the apps that will let you DISALLOW the background activity usage so it can't do that. Also make sure you force stop the app and clear just the cache not the data.

Try to do what I just suggested.

It's not Google Play Store, it's Google Play Services that is constantly running.

Had the same issues on my LG V60 with play services, I installed Nap Time by Francisco Franco and it settled down, this is mainly for when the phone is supposed to be in sleep mode. The app is a root app but with a couple of adb commands it will work on unrooted phones. It's one of the first apps I install with a new phone now. It will force your phone into a deep doze when not in use, it can also turn wifi, data and bluetooth off during doze.

Just found this thread after day 5 with my Note 20 Ultra and I'm getting bad battery drain from Google Play Service, I went to bed with my phone at 95% and woke up 8hrs later to see it on 55%....WTF!

Not sure if I should do a factory reset or not yet, but I transferred my data over using Samsung Smart Switch and read that causes issues.
