For Sprint Nexus S 4G users it is installable from Android market so they will get it right away but I will try to get it working on my i9020A soon after my OTA to ICS.

got the free $10 card, flawlessly on first try over wifi (didn't try 3g).

This worked like a charm on a Galaxy Nexus (I9250) on AT&T. Free credit and all.

Although, I manually copied the files using ADB and RootExplorer, since I don't have clockworkmod installed.

I purchased an unlocked 5-band SIM based Galaxy Nexus from Expansys... It seems to have been imported from the UK, as the power adapter is European. The Verizon model uses different bands.

OK that means the hsdpa model is a global phone ... i had some doubts that expansys.ca was right on that but you have confirmed its really a global phone .

Just after getting the 2.3.6 ota on my USA import Nexus i9020a I decided to try the Google Wallet files from the NS4G 2.3.7.... They worked. I even could add the prepaid 10$ card and i'm on SaskTel in Canada .

Attached is a flashable zip that should work on all i902x models (i can't test it since i'm in Canada).

Install Method: Unsigned, must flash through ClockworkMod Recovery.
Compatibility: i9020A/i9020T/i9023 (2.3.6)
Other Roms: It may work on roms other than the 2.3.6 ota but if it doesn't just remove the files listed below via ADB.

/System/Shopper.apk
/System/Wallet.apk
/Lib/libshopperimageutils-3.so
/Lib/libshoppervorbisencoder-2.so
/Lib/libshopperzxingutils-4.so

Note: Credit goes to YourMainDude for the files i used in the Nfc fix

How do I remove those files via adb? I haven't used it much and the app didn't work after installing it and I used the uninstall zip but now everytime I turn it on it still says it is updating and optimizing apps and I don't want to see that anymore. Can I please have some help?!

On the first post there is a uninstall zip attached to make things easier... or you could delete those files via adb. Either or your choice.

Well not sure since all newer versions do hardware checks and they had to do mods and such to make it pass. You may be able to pull the main wallet apk from my download and try to see if it works... about all i can think of.

Edit: I was able to get a apk that doesn't crash but sadly does country/carrier/ hardware check.

It will only work on nexus s 4g for sprint sadly... need to find link again.

Nexus S I9020A 2.3.6 rooted GW works in Canada

I wanted Google Wallet. I read all the stuff. Most recent recommendations were to install using the .apk onto a 4.0.2 ROM, etc. Tried many things, nothing worked.

Finally I put my phone back to 2.3.6. Installed the NFC_FIX.zip, GoogleWallet_uninstall.zip, and GoogleWallet.zip.

Works beauty! Just bought a coffee and muffin at McDonalds compliments of free $10 Google payment card.

It seems that GWallet may be enabled on AT&T and Verizion... i was able to download it using market enabler set to att.

I had to use chrome to phone to view it in market tho..
