You can install the Nova Google Companion app to have the google feed by swiping to the let like the stock pixel launcher

For me it was working in my previous devices but unfortunately i can't get google feed to work with my pixel 2xl, i have just a blank page in both stock and nova launcher.
Would you want to try to see if it is working for you.

Mine isn't dark in Nova at all. I switch back to Pixel launcher and the background is dark, but each feed is still white.

That's how mine was this morning. Now it's all dark

Lucky you, I have no luck to get it working

I wouldn't call it lucky as I use and prefer Nova Launcher. I'm in the same boat as you. ?

Was the dark news feed added with the October security update?

No because I got it and am still last oreo update.

I just noticed my news feed is dark all of a sudden. It also has a new topic identifier icon.
