Got a North American H915 V20, ask me anything

No u flash it thru twrp. Just follow the instructions on superv20.
For kernel get the back to the Future version. Mk2000 bttf us996santa beta 1.

I succeded in flashing the custom Rom and the Kernel and everything works well and smooth, aside from a little message from an app named Mirrorlink not working... i'll read on that. The camera is back in order.
The only unresolved case is the headphone with pause, volume + - buttons and a microphone, all four of those not working at all, only the music can be heard through them.
The headphones are not the problem, they were tested on many devices even a LG G3 so I would love to do something about this

I think it's ur v20 headphone jack. I don't have any problems with controls.

ok, i'll buy one, I wonder if its easy to replace, and if there is a way to find out what model would be sure to not have the exact same issue

By the way is there a way to have full control over external sd on this phone? I noticed i cannot move files to it or delete/create files from file exploring apps. Isn't there a way to have freedom over this issue?

what file exploring app you use? did u give permission to access sd card?

I used the original file manager instead of ES File explorer and it granted me access, but only from this app, the others like ES or Titanium Backup still give me no chance to delete files folders or have access to external sd. I used to have a trick for that on my samsung devices but i forgot. I really want full acces to all apps.

Also is there a way to change time and date in TWRP? because my backups are always named random dates from random time from 2016

i don't know much other methods of solving sd card permission. Try unmounting sd card and take it out and then remount it.

No in twrp select img file andsimply flash it and select recovery.

No you don't have to wipe the phone, from within your existing twrp, flash the new one as an image to the recovery partition

Hi! I need help with my LG V20 H915 turned into a us996 and rooted! The sim card works horribly with my koodo mobile data plan, and there days getting far worst can be not internet access for 12 hours. I tried buying a new one and it worked for about an hour and stop making the mobile data icon show up for the rest of the evening, tried it in an older phone Galaxy s5 works right away, back into the lg v20, works for the rest of the evening, this morning worked still, at work none (when i need it the most) and still none... anybody got a possible solution for this issue? drivers? system restore? I still can receive and sent sms but nothing that has to do with mobile data like internet and messenger are working.
