Well, I returned my Thrill and picked up a SGSII this morning. I haven't rooted it yet but so far I am very impressed.

I gave up the pretty cool 3D functions but I gained a much better camera overall. I really had no complaints on the display of the Thrill, but obviously the SGSII has an amazing display.

The main reason I made the change is because of the software and battery issues I was having with the Thrill. The hardware was not an issue, in fact the hardware was outstanding in most respects.

I'm hoping I made the right decision and that I have better luck with battery life on the SGSII.
If 3d is not a major thing in your deciding factor then you made the right decision. Else it's up to you. Since you had thrill and now sgs2, you are in better situation to make that comparison.

Yeah, the 3D was a very cool feature and it was great for showing (or thrilling as it may be) others. However, I do not have any other 3D displays so looking at 3D on a small screen has it's limits anyway.

The SGSII has a much better software build and the things that matter most to me (especially Exchange email) operate much smoother and faster.

The only comparison left is battery life. I should know by lunch tomorrow whether that is going to be an issue. Based on what I've read, it shouldn't be.

Ventura, Ca.
Got My SGSII and loving it.

Just Traded in my Infuse4G (Which I had for over a month) picked up...Rooted...CWM Kernel installed and now the fun begins!:D
I got the last of 5 of the SGSII's in my area of Southern California (Ventura) at Best Buy. Apparently this part of Ca. is not going to carry them in the ATT stores because of the iGrip that Apple has on ATT Nutz and the direct sales deprivation this phone would have on their sales if they did have them. Anyway lets get this customizing train a rolling! We have an awesome phone...So lets not be afraid to do it!
