Graduation you got the So-02E!
I just want to ask does DOCOMO provide the bootloader unlocking service?
Have you tried to flash an international version ROM? If so, are the one seg, IR remote still working? THX
No, docomo provides SIM-unlock service (3150yen), but not bootloader-unlock service.

International stock ROM does not work on SO-02E. International ROM will have trouble recognizing the SIM card, and will default to demo mode. It is also missing libraries/apks for 1seg, IR, and FeliCa (osaifu keitai). Easier to manually remove bloatware from docomo ROM than replace missing libraries from international ROM.

As root for locked bootloader is now possible, flashtool matures, and CWM for locked bootloader is developed, there should be no real reason to cross-flash the C660X ROM onto SO-02E -- that is, unless docomo postpones the 4.2 update and you want to upgrade right away.

For now with root, you can now remove all Xperia/docomo bloatware and disable camera shutter (by replacing \system\media\audio\camera\sound1 files with "blank" audio files). The only thing the SO-02E is still missing is Sony's new Stamina Mode -- and that will likely appear as a CWM-flashable mod.

The problem on importing a docomo phone is that updates are send using their network so if u let's say using the Xperia z docomo here in usa on att you'll never get software updates. Nope it doesn't update using Wi-Fi. At least that's how a Fujitsu arrow x I bought works. I couldn't do updates. Cause it wasn't connected to docomo you can order it on eBay. There is a seller that have Xperia z docomo. 970$ I think lol
