Don't have the update yet on mine, I tried uninstalling wear os and then re-update it like some say it will force the update but I don't have it. Does anyone know how to force the update? system update says i'm on the latest version.

Same here. I'm in the US, what about you? May have to do with location as the others who posted seem to be from other countries, and they may space apart the roll-out. Just a guess.

I think he talks about wear os 2.0, that is different from adroid wear 2.16 (security patch july 2017). Seems google make some confusion with name. However on my watch still no update

Got it since 1st Oct - Poland
And yes, we have WearOs 2.0 (as base) upped to 2.16.x by apk.
Looks like Google find other way to update watches without OEMs...
I really like this update, new UI, controls... it should look and act this way from the beginning

Have you forced the update in some way?

Just rebooted the watch, went to settings to perform update check and it said everything was up to date, but about 5 seconds later, the notification popped up and it's currently installing.

Got the 2.0 update last night on the LG G Watch R and it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Battery life sucks like the early days of AW2. Already down to 75% with limited use in just 3 hours. Used to go 12 hours and still be on 80% life left.

Music controls are mostly bad.
Controls no longer are in the notification screen and very often won't come on screen when you start playing music via your phone. To get them to come on your watch you have to go to the Quick Settings (swipe down), click on the song playing, now you get the controls. You can't do anything else with your watch with the music controls on screen (have to swipe right to see your watch face again). Also the playlist manipulation is gone. Only positive is it's easier to change volume with the new controls.
