Material Dark Theme for GPe MRA58K.H13

Files edited:
DocumentsUI.apk
framework-res.apk
Settings.apk
SystemUI.apk
Gmail2.apk

Bugs:
Gmail notification title - seen in picture #2 - FIXED
"share via" background - seen in picture #6 - FIXED
Screenshot Share/Delete button color - seen in picture #11 - FIXED
Gmail notification title when you have 2 or more messages - seen in picture #15
Let me know if you find any bugs

Since this theme edits framework-res.apk you will need to drag your correct apns.xml + eri.xml into the res/xml folder. (Non-Verizon-Files.zip)

To-do
- Remove divider lines in Settings and SystemUI apps
- Let me know if you have any suggestions

Thanks:
Basil3

***Make a Nandroid back up first just in case***

Gmail notifications FIX

Thanks to Basil3 for fixing this for me.

Since Gmail.apk can't be edited and the notification text color is tied into Gmail, he was able to hex edit the Gmail color to a lighter color, so Gmail app text is now the same color as the notification text, a lighter gray so you can see the notification, but Gmail is still functional. (Can't change it to say white, as it would then be white on white in gmail, could do a teal color, but this is more clean, IMO, give him a thanks!

I attached the edited Gmail.apk in the OP. If it doesn't install directly, use a file manager and replace your stock apk with the edited one, then reboot.

I cant install Gmail , when i think i installed it it fc's , and i try uninstalling the stock one and neither

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA-Developers mobile app

Gmail works fine, you just need to install to correct place and everyone's is different so I can't predict it. Did you make a nandroid as op suggested?

First I try install like a normal app , didn't work , then I try uninstalling with root uninstaller ,reboot install and didn't work again , then I try installing like a system app and works but when I open the app it fc's and don't let me get in

OK then when you get that FC you need to go into system apps and uninstall updates to gmail

What I'd do.
I'd go into data app and delete all Gmail and then in system app delete Gmail as well, reboot and Gmail should be gone, if not you missed one to delete.

Then once it's gone download it, go into data app, grab it and move it to system app, rename it to Gmail2apk and the folder Gmail2, reboot. Make sure it works. Then take the edited one delete the one in system app and put the edited one in, rename to Gmail2.apk and reboot. You may have to set permissions, see attached image.

Either way should work. But second method def will that's how I did it.
