You flashed the NCS version, correct? I need to get logs of the camera launch fail.Hi.
I've tried the kernel clean on the NCS ROM 1.2.
Unfortunately, the camera failed to launch and I noticed jerkiness in response.

This one is booting, good for now. If i notice anything ill report.Try flashing the kernel attached, see if it works
No idea, most likely not. Doesn't hurt to try though, just make sure you have the stock boot.img handy in case you have to revert back.Hi just a wee question,
Will your kernel work with Nougat as well?
Cheers
I would love to add it, but since I don't actually have the device, it is very difficult. I can attempt, but whatever I put out might be extremely broken. I'll start taking a look at the other Huawei kernel sources first.i know we should not ask for features. but would it be possible to ad dt2w?
older huawei devices did support this feature but with the p9 they removed dt2w support.
TWRP zip is my voteI would love to add it, but since I don't actually have the device, it is very difficult. I can attempt, but whatever I put out might be extremely broken. I'll start taking a look at the other Huawei kernel sources first.
Second thought, how many would prefer a TWRP zip rather than a boot.img (or both)? I can do both no problem, but I need to know how many people would like it first so that I don't waste time![]()

At the time of download, I think there was no NCS version (i may be mistaken). You flashed the NCS version, correct? I need to get logs of the camera launch fail.
Basketbuild has been on/off for maintenance a lot recently. I think I'll switch over to uploading on androidfilehost. At the time of download, I think there was no NCS version (i may be mistaken).
Want to re try the NCS version now but link is down![]()
Hmm, I don't think you've done the logcat correctly... Unfortunately, you're currently the only one who seems to have this problem (that im aware of)I've just flashed the NCS version. Unfortunately, the camera still force close.
Attached is the logcat.
Works like a charm on latest fRomFuture build. Thanks kwoktopus !
Can i flash your kernel on fRomFuture ROM ?
Where can I find the stock boot.img? No idea, most likely not. Doesn't hurt to try though, just make sure you have the stock boot.img handy in case you have to revert back.
Which device version is yours. Use Huawei ROM extractor and extract from the full factory ROM posted in firmware collections thread.Where can I find the stock boot.img?

May be the case :/. The kernel is built on the latest source (2016-05-05 from Huawei). I don't see anything more upstream than this on their source download page. I have not added anything into the kernel that could potentially break the camera.tested on upstreamed stock. SIM issue exists halfway and the cam FCs. Theres 2 choices: The upstream is not right, or the kernel itself doesnt work properly on b166 as of camera updates.
