Thanks for your work :)

Downloading. Going to flash. Will come back here how it feels. Thanks.

Sent from my EVA-L09
It boot loops. I returned to stock image from my TWRP backup.

Little more info about my installations,
magisk base installed
Phh's SuperSu
Xposed systemless
Some magisk module like busybox is installed

When i was using B166, I flashed your kernel on the top of magisk, phh's etc and it worked fine.

Which version did you flash? If it worked for you before, I think you should be able to flash the B170 version.

I installed today 3 kernel version (fRomFuture, B170, B180). All of them work. :good:
But in "Settings/About phone" always shows the same as in the screenshot here. Could you do something to display the names of versions, so i do not confused.

I would love to, but that means I will have to compile the kernel multiple times in order to change the name. If I can find a hack that allows me to change it without rebuilding the kernel, then I will implement it

(takes me about 6 minutes to build 1 kernel, 6*4 = 24 minutes)

The shorter the build times, the more time I have to add more changes.

Tried your very old version prior to 2.00 when i was on B166. After updating my firmware to B180 (EMUI 4.1.1) I didn't bother to try your kernel. Today when I found your new version which was B170 based, I tried. It boot looped.

As you asked I sent B180 stock kernel which you compiled and shared. I tried your build based on B180 which again boot looped. Hope I have explained my situation clear.

I tried to make B180 to work with my EMUI 4.1.1 (C432B180). Could not be successful. I tried the following still no luck.

1. Uninstalled xposed
2. Uninstalled magisk
3. Wiped cache and dalvik/art
4. Flashed abyss B180
5. Wiped cache and dalvik/art again
6. Restarted device

Boot looped and never completed restart. After first loop it went to the screen which is Huawei screen showing eRecovery / Reboot / Shutdown.

Thanks for your efforts but I could not enjoy the goodness of your kernel..

Note: Should I try flashing img file via fastboot?

What stock ROM version are you running?

I am running B180 on my EVA-L09 here, but I really can't get abyss for B180 to boot. It just hangs at the Huawei logo and brings me to eRecovery.
I experience the same issue. I tried flashing via TWRP and also tried flashing img file via FASTBOOT. No luck.

@kwoktopus any news about B180 kernel. Waiting to experience your work. Thanks.
sorry, this weekend has been incredibly long and hard (thanksgiving weekend with exams next week) so I haven't been able to find time to make the L09 B180 version. I think in the future, I will only build B180 versions, but two different versions for L09 and L19 because obviously, they need different versions.
