GPS issue with SHOstock3 ROM?

Hey people, I want to point out an issue with my I777's GPS performance. Last night, I used Google navigation on my phone for the first time on SHOstock3 ROM to a friend's place. The phone took forever to get the accurate GPS position, maybe it took few mins to get my position. My old stock Gingerbread ROM could get the accurate GPS position in under 20 seconds, easily and it always worked flawless. When I returned home and I decided to use navigation again. It couldn't get my accurate position either, the blue point went off my route, it couldn't move hardly and the directions weren't changing too. So people, what's up with this?

It is a known issue, but one that only affects some people, and not only on SHOstock3, but on some other roms as well. Re-booting the phone will usually make the GPS get a quick lock and function well, but the problem may return the next time you need GPS.

I have always had this GPS problem on SHOstock3, sometimes to the point that GPS will never lock, while sometimes it just takes a long time. Of the various possible fixes, I have found success with the following. After performing this, I get a lock consistently in under 10 seconds. Remember that different people and phones get different results. For me, booting into recovery and doing the following three things will clear the problem for two weeks to a month before it returns. Wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and fix permissions. This does not cause any loss of data or configuration, so it is relatively painless to perform. I have not tested to see if just one of these things is responsible, or if it is a combination of two or all three, I always just do them all.

You're welcome. If you try this, I'd be interested to hear about your results.
Actually, in the last couple days, I used my phone's Google GPS for fun and it worked well. Technology isn't designed to be 100% perfect all the time so tech can be retarded every once in a while. Cheers!
