GPS issues after MM update on 5x

Info:
KIW-L24 6.0.1
Currently running CM 13.0-20150726 but also tried under stock MM 6.0.1 (TWRP)
No matter what I do i can't get google maps to work consistently with GPS. Appeared to be working before flashing the stock update from lollipop to mm. Waze works fine.

Did some searching and it appears several others are having the same issues

Any idea on how to resolve this? Can I roll back firmware somehow?

I had this issue and turning on WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning under location helped.

Fixed mine by downloading an app called TopNTP and then installing the North American setting.

Same here.
Google Maps won't display anything at all but the Google Earth APP works perfectly.

I have contacted the Honor Support regarding the Google Maps issue. They have acknowledged the issue. They have asked for my IMEI and pushed a small 509kb ota update to my phone.

After applying the update Google Maps is working without problems.

I contacted the Honor support and they claim no such OTA update exists. Is there any other way to get this?

It's been 2 years now since I got the update. I don't know even if they will have the update anymore. Or even if they will make an effort for a 3 year old phone now.
