So, I have recently started driving Uber, and I noticed that the GPS takes a while to get started sometimes....I'm talking about 6-8 seconds to start Google Maps and begin navigating. While 6 seconds doesn't sound like much, imagine waiting that long while waiting for the GPS to tell you which turn to take to pick up your next customer as you're passing their exit on the highway. I've already tried a full factory reset (internal storage and all), and nothing is working. The phone also gets really sluggish while using the GPS. Rerouting can take up to 6 seconds as well. Pulling isn't always an option.
Has anyone else experienced this? And any solutions? For the record, Waze isn't a good substitution for me, as it doesn't show that I made a turn on a street until a second or two of driving in that direction. Once again, when driving with customers or towards customers, every second counts.
