It generally works, but I find that it needs refinement. Calendar has formatting issues. The keyboard has layout issues on certain sites...

You need to have the latest firmware with proper wide view mode

Hopefully LG will adjust the UI scaling and look to work best with hinge, rounded corners, hinge segmentation, angled view (like book handling or laptop standing), different screen size (v50). Pitch black dark mode will work great for more seamless coherent look

I also would like to see how the scaling looks like on lg stock apps (notes, calender) & third party apps (Gmail, Microsoft, games, Google news, Instagram, YouTube)

The problem with foldables is they look like a giant phone. Not like tablet

Please guys share more screenshots, it's a great main selling point

Thanks for your great work on this! I really makes the device shine. Is there any possibility of getting taker actions for the rest of the dualscreen functionality like swapping apps and moving an app to the dual screen? thanks!

I noticed the G8X widescreen app posted an update that includes a tasker plugin. I've created a new profile that with the following triggers:
* app switch, and
* running selected apps (e.g., gmail, word)

that launch a task that includes:
* force reverse landscape orientation, and
* launch G8X widescreen plugin.

So far so good. I'm just looking for a way to maintain the widescreen automatically for the activities that automatically switch out of widescreen, e.g., hitting the reply button in gmail.

The tasker plugin functionality is another huge leap forward.

No luck. Hoping the Android 10 update, when it eventually gets here, fixes this.

At this point I'm giving up on ever getting an update on this damn phone. My LG G8 is updated to Android 10 with the April security patch. Seems like LG forgot any this phone
