Iv been using this with the gt for four months now, Im really satisfied. After some small changes in Bluetooth audio config file it works well with both music and in call..
Hi,

could you tell me what changes you made to get it work with both calls and music.
I'm facing a problem with this device (MW600): If I pair it with both my Mac book pro and my galaxy tab, when I get a call while listening to music from my laptop, the MW600 indicates the incoming but I can't answer it.

The issue disappears only if I reset the device (MW600) and only pair it with the Galaxy tab.

Any help appreciated.

Tanks,

Franck

Ok, these changes requires root access. . .
Just edit /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf to your liking.

This are my edited entries.
-----------------------------
# Configuration file for the audio service

# This section contains options which are not specific to any
# particular interface
# NOTE: Enable=Sink means that bluetoothd exposes Sink interface for remote
# devices, and the local device is a Source
[General]
Enable=Sink,Control,Headset,Gateway,Source
Disable=

# Switch to master role for incoming connections
#Master=true

# SCO routing. Either PCM or HCI (in which case audio is routed to/from ALSA)
# Defaults to HCI
#SCORouting=PCM

# Automatically connect both A2DP and HFP/HSP profiles for incoming
# connections. Some headsets that support both profiles will only connect the
# other one automatically so the default setting of true is usually a good
# idea.
AutoConnect=true

# Headset interface specific options (i.e. options which affect how the audio
# service interacts with remote headset devices)
#[Headset]

# Set to true to support HFP (in addition to HSP only which is the default)
# Defaults to false
HFP=true

# Maximum number of connected HSP/HFP devices per adapter. Defaults to 1
#MaxConnections=1

# Just an example of potential config options for the other interfaces
[A2DP]
SBCSources=1
MPEG12Sources=0

[AVRCP]
InputDeviceName=AVRCP

------------------------

I had to redo pairing afer these changes, then everything works as i expected it to.

Hi,

Is it possible to use the BT Headset (paired with the Tab) as Mic and the Line-Out of the Tab as Out?

Thanks,
Sam

Yes, you can select only the phone-BT-Profile,
then the MBW600 works like a normal Headset only for Callings (incl. Mic.).
Stereo-out (Video, Musik) comes out of the Line.

Greetings

Well I'm under Overcome 1.6.3 and the settings you gave were already those in the Rom. But I don't know exactly how, I finally managed to make it work. Now am able to answer calls while mw600 is connected to the laptop. So everything's fine =)
Huh... hahaha i guess i can stop copying my file into the Bluetooth folder after each reflash then....lol...

You can't. And it's very frustrating. Known issue due to android. Unfortunately i too bought the mw600 misled by a comment in this thread answering "yes" to a previous question about number and caller name.
I paired it with my old ks20 and it shows caller name and tracks and albums names.

I have the MW600 too, but was terrible disappointed about the sound quality. It's like an old portable radio. :( I think the sound with my old Windows Mobile smartphone. There are settings to change on Android for sound improvement?

How can I see information from audio-/video-player on the MW600 display? With Windows Mobile I could see play time on the MW600 but with the Galaxy Tab the display is empty. :confused:

The last thing: Where can I use automatic connection, meaning the MW600 and the Galaxy Tab are paired it they are in range? My Galacy Tab is on the table in office and I go away with the MW600. If I'm back I want both are connected by oneself. At the moment I have to go to Bluetooth seetings and have to make a re-connect manually.
