This is completely based on

with the only difference of VNDK project treble support.
This means, that there's now an isolation between vendor and the system namespace,
to make it possible to update only the Android OS framework.

Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
it was again neccessary to buy a new SSD, it would be nice to help me out a little bit.
I'm doing this in my free time and it always costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

Amazing work @html6405 ! I never thought I'd see this device get Project Treble support, I'm amazed! Now all we need is a kernel dev to upstream our ancient kernel. @Don Carnage where you at?!
It won't be a 100% treble support yet, but at least with some hack's we will be able to boot up some GSI's.
(At the moment I'm nearly there to successfully boot up an AOSP GSI, bootanimation is already showing up)

But I will try to improve this as far as possible somehow.
An higher kernel version would be already great here, because VNDK force's the need of it,
but I try to hack this.

The new TWRP build's should be up very soon. (Today planned)

At the moment, I wasn't able to flash a foreign GSI and boot up (most of the Android GSI's are too big, but I will build by my own soon), I will get there and at least it could help us a lot to upgrade to Android 12 someday.

No,
official TWRP is still in the build and could be today available.

Then you just could flash an AOSP GSI (Android 11), but it won't boot.
I'm still working on it to get the first boot done, you will get all the information as soon I've managed it.

My thanks for your efforts to always try to bring to our tablet the most up-to-date android versions. And I'm very excited about this new achievement, I know you must be working hard to adapt all these architectures to our old equipment.... Will we be able to flash a Pixelplus version on our N8000 in a little while? This GSI is with a look based on android 12 is very beautiful.

Can you get me a doubt my friend?
It would be very difficult to port the official Samsung TAB A Rom to our device?

If the GSI does fit in our system partition and if it's for our architecture available (and also based on android 11),
it should work with my hacks.
They should work at least with all suitable android 11 ROM's.

For lower android version's, I would have to develope everything from zero with a lower vndk version.
You could place a link and I would try it.

Another general thing,
what we would need for every ROM is an overlay,
for example:

for the AOSP ROM I'm testing at the moment...

Hi,
My friend, very grateful that you still spend your time on our device. I couldn't find the link to download the TWRP compatible with GSI.
I would like to test.

How about an OctaviOS Gsi on our tablets, it would be cool to start testing everything that comes out

The new TWRP version is already online, but you still need the trebleized LineageOS from me.
As I'm facing problems with the wifi and RIL at the moment, I didn't published it, but I'm working on it.

You have to understand, that not every GSI will work, nearly less will as long the builder apply some patches from me.
But the good thing is, that everybody could apply them and make the GSI exynos4 compatible.

Here you will find the first AOSP GSI for our devices, as soon I've fixed wifi and RIL...

Good afternoon,
Would have how to put the instructions to install the GSI? Is TWRP compatible?
I'm very happy with this development I always hoped one day to be able to test a GSI on our device.
