- (Script) Kernel Tweaks for better performance and/or more battery life

Installation: Go to the thread on XDA and copy&paste the choosed script into an empty text file. Then copy this file to your device and activate it as a script (su/boot) in SManager, reboot, ready. Check the log in SManager. If you get errors, try the attached file which you can find at the end of the post on XDA.

Do NOT use both scripts at the same time!!!

Step by step:

- Download and install Script Manager from Play Store
- copy script to the root of your SD-Card
- Open Script Manager and browse to the script file. Tap and hold it, then choose "open as... --> script"
- tap on "SU" and "Boot", then save and exit.
- it will be activated after reboot

The scripts are frequently updated, so check the thread on XDA for updates:

All files are taken from EU device. You may not flash an EU kernel to your LATAM device because of your CID (Carrier ID, region check). But I guess the basebands are the same on every GSM device.

EDIT: Basebands updated!

Flashing these tweaks/mods

Before I go bricking my device I have a few questions.

1) Can I flash this on an Asian retail XT910 that has been flashed with the MIUI ICS rom?
2) Is there a way to back up the radio in case none of these basebands work?
3) Is there anything else I CANNOT flash in the posts above on my phone?

Thanks.

Flashing these tweaks/mods

I put my phone into safe mode and tried to install the radios/basebands via clockworkmod and it kept giving me an error...no matter which of the four I selected.

I will have a look on it. Maybe I've made an mistake while I was repacking the radios. I will correct it later.

Edit: nope, not mistakes. It should work. I've installed the latest baseband 4.12 successful with cwm. I guess you cannot install them because you own a Asian device.

New Baseband from China OTA U_04.10.03P added!

Brings better signal, but not tested to get advanced information about battery life!

Edit: I figured out, that the baseband from 223.3 gives best battery life and good signal! But the latest China Radio may give better battery, don't know yet.

How flash radio via Safestrap? Sorry for dumb question =)

Doesn't work so far. You have to boot into non-safe system, then uninstall recovery from Safestrap app. Now download bootmenu and install hijack and packages. Reboot into Recovery, flash radio, reboot into main system and uninstall hijack and packages from bootmenu app. Now open Safestrap app again and install recovery. Reboot to recovery, toggle to safe system and enjoy new baseband on CM10, AOKP or whatever you have installed there. :)

Thanx, but when i boot into non-safe system, and uninstall recovery, i got stuck on bootanimation of stock rom (instead cm10 bootanimation). And RSDlite again =) Then root, bootmenu, radio, safestrap, cm10 and - profit. Really good ROM =)

Can i flash radio via fastboot or with other method?

the easiest way to install radio is to get bootmenu(install it from your system with root), i think everyone now have bootmenu:))
then just get bp.img from radio package, only the img file(unzip it on microSD or internal), and in bootmenu recovery just select flash radio image, find your bp.img, flash, reboot after installation finished, thats it.

You MUST install bootmenu! Why don't you do what I suggested? This is the best solution atm.

Have had a look at the threads date? This is ICS!

But in fact you're right! These basebands are still working, also on JB. I can remember that 03 had less power consumption...

the latest radio U_04.10 00R, coming with latest JB.
