GSM Unlock for non root users. Change APN!!!!! Wip

Not working yet..... Guys im sorry i let u down i really thought we had this in the bag.
i will attempt to get testers together and try a few different things. if not i will purchase another g4 to figure this out.
So new update download hidden call menu in first link below.

So sprint just released a zvb update for the g5 which bars things in the hidden menus so this method is allready being locked down on g5 so im sure they will do it on g4 also.
Look for itson setting and enable or disable, whichever it is do the oppisate.
You should also be able to edit apn settings under iot and lte setting no root no msl needed

Update to orig instrucs. I know the rooted g4 unlock employs also having to shut off itson in the hidden menu to get rid of invalid sim card.


lotHiddenMenuMain (witout root) => LTE setting=> LTE Data Roam Config....and enable
Band 2
Band 4
Band 12 go back

i have not tried this as i do not have a g4 anymore but promised the g4 users i would continue to try to out.

we have a confirmation it works guys.
Now suposedly this can work on any sprint lgs and lower sprint subsidiarys

also ive noticed since g2 g3 g4 and g5 stock message app wont send or recieve mms use another messanger for mms and text like i have always used google messanger

also these are not prmant unlocks factory reset will undo it and more note that some users have reported that using any kind of lock screen including swipe to unlock interferes with unlock

this is more of a settings mod than anything so again dont know if itll work but i hope so can mod the apns and they stick no root no msl too!!!!!!! hell yeah boys

I can write up a quick guide today or tomorrow on building your own GSM/global ZVD ROM, with APN support and all. It'd be riskier, given that the flashing could brick your phone if you're careless, but it survives factory resets and lockscreens just fine.

I'd upload what I'm running, but for the next few weeks, I'm stuck in an area where the upload speeds are still measured in kbps, and I can't seem to mount large images on my VPS to work from there due to a lack of RAM.

I had to modify the t instrucs myself. Wasnt working properly even for g5

Is it still displaying invalid sim card. On top of orig instrucs can u find the itson menu and shut it off.

Yeah it's still showing invalid. I haven't tried the itson menu yet

I just enabled itson and my metro pcs Sim card works in my g4, so if anyone else wants to try just enable itson and the phone should be unlocked

this is great news u should be able to edit apn settins from here also
all without msl spc code

i enabled it and i still have the 'Invalid SIM' after doing all the instructions in the OP, aswell as the linked instructions, anything i can do? APNs also dont stay when i input them and save them with the hidden menu

May be something with mm. It works on nougat. Of coarse g4 aint got nougat yet. I will go through and see if i can figure somthing out when i get off work tonight

Marshmallow. We werr having issues with people on mm on g5 but its workin on nougat

so sprint just released a update on g5 they are starting to bar the hidden menus on it so it wont be long before they do it on g4 also

i enabled itson and disabled it. i couldnt change apn in this hidden menu. i tried it with my lg g4 ls991zvd. i keep looking for any solution to unlock the sim.
