[GT-I8190] No mobile network, no service (even with stock rom), but signal with stock

Hello all,

A few years ago, when I re-flashed some custom rom, somehow I lost the ability to use mobile network. (I think I must have corrupted modem partition)

The following are the symptoms: No signal, no (real) service, not registering, but displays list of service providers in the settings (so no hardware fault) in LineageOS
Signal, but not registering in network, so no call/sms/data with stock rom.

It would be very nice if I would be able to use my mobile phone as a real mobile phone again.

I know there are a lot of similar threads, but none could solve my problems.
@tys0n maybe you could give me a hint here, since the update_modem file for XXAMG4 was extracted by you (thx for that) and you are a real genius

You still have your IMEI? Does it show when you dial *#06# ?
And what does it say when you dial *#1234# ?

Yes, IMEI is still there (358*) and not a developer one. It is also the same as printed on the sticker behind the battery.

*#1234# says 'no mobile connection' (so apparently not a valid ussd-code in LineageOS). When I enter *#*#4636#*#* and go to the first option, it shows me my valid IMEI, but a signal strength of -113dBm (0 ASU) but randomly increases to about 12 ASU (-89dBm). voice service is emergency calls only, data service is not connected.

Can it be, that my provider blocked my IMEI? Is that possible?
