I've been having strange SOD/freezing or reboots.
It only seems to happen when Im going to sleep and further away from the router with one bar signal.
sitting closer to the router at my desk its fine for hours. but once going to sleep with less signal. SOD or reboot within an hour or longer 4.
Im wondering if there I can find or make a log to find out what its doing right before it SODs or reboots?
Thanks![]()
i'm on 2.5.2 and downloading 2.6 now, ill try and flash without factory wipe, i'll edit here and let you know how it goes
edit: Flashed 2.6 w/o factory wipe, everything working fine so far!
u can have a logcat of the issues, for the same(logcat) try some apps from stores and see
ps- also see if u have done any overclocking or undervolting, then rewert back to stock values and see the issue persists or not
Not sure if anyone could assist me but I have been experiencing this issue in the last few version, im currently on 2.6
When ever I unplug my ear phone after listening to music via an paid music app call KKBOX (only available in HK, China and Taiwan), I will lost notification and ring sound. Is there anything related to the rom or its because of the app? right now I have to restart my device everytime.
Thanks in advance.
I do have undervolting. never happened before. they are the same settings. and it works perfectly fine when close to the router.
So i didnt think much of it.
and was hoping (seen as it seems to be happening during a specific condition) that I wouldnt have to change the undervolting.
but i shall try logcat and see what happens.
thanks
Is the full wipe required for 2.5.2 as well ?
I am using 161dpi, and cannot make calls. I keep getting "voice calling not supported". Does anyone have a phone.apk that works for 2.6?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Hi there,
I dont usually post in these forums, but thought i would put it out there as I am really stuck.
I have been using RR roms for a while and really love your work, however i recently upgraded from v9.7 to version 2.5.2 i think it was, the one before v2.6 and it was fine for a day or so until my phone started getting really hot. It was going flat on Friday so i plugged it in to the mains and it was already hot. When i went over to take it off chare the phone was off. I couldnt turn it on, no 3 button combos would work either.
I went to Telstra shop on way home and they put another Galaxy S2 battery in it, and it started, so i thought ok it must be the battery.
Luckily i had a spare battery at home, so when i got home and put it in, it started up, i put it on charge as it was flat and it started heating up again. a few minutes later, black screen phone off, and again could not turn on. I have done much googling, and looked at how to unbrick a hard brick SGS2 and soft brick SGS2 to no avail. Im stuck, so before i take back to Telstra shop i thought i would ask the pro's on this forums.
i tried removing battery and holding volume up/down together to drain charge, and when i put battery back in, the charge symbol briefly falshes up giving me hope but then off again and phone totally unresponsive once again. So to me it seems like the phone is killing my batteries somehow. Luckily i ran the USB jig after the last flash, so flash counter is at 0 so hopefully i am covered under warranty.
Any ideas out there? Its a Telstra Samsung Galaxy S2 with Resurection Remix ICS v2.5.3, and im in Melbourne Australia.
Let me know if i need to supply any more info, and I did read the FAQ before posting
Appreciate any help :good:
Cheers,
1) If you like either of system fonts from Windows (C:\WINDOWS\Fonts) so just drag the selected font to the specific folder, e.g. desktop.
or
2) Download your favorite fonts from the website(http://www.fonts2u.com/)
2-1) just copy the two types of font (especially font in bold is a must (e.g. Verdana.ttf and Verdana-Bold.ttf) to the device with path system/fonts using root explorer.
2-2) Change Mount R/W as Mount R/O (as you know).
2-3) Backup the Roboto-Regular.ttf and Roboto-Bold.ttf (because I believe default font in AOKP is Roboto which is a custom font in ICS version) to other folders, then go back to system/fonts to delete it directly.
2-4) Long click on the selected fonts (verdana.ttf) that you copy from, rename it as Roboto-Regular.ttf and set its permissions as 3R1W.
2-5) Then, just reboot the phone.
