What a nice surprise!
We probably all moved on to better devices, but the memory of our first great custom roms that you made will carry on forever
I gave it to my mom. Still take it from her every now and then to feel it in hand, scroll through menus and all that.yes agreed we are all moved to another devices . but sgs2 still one of the best devices on samsung history in my opinion . still loving it and missing this thread
cool . my s2 still rocks but i gave it to my brother s son . he uses as daily driver . new samsung devices doesnt accept aosp roms anymore i have s6 edge . cant customize it . very badI gave it to my mom. Still take it from her every now and then to feel it in hand, scroll through menus and all that.
It was an amazing phone! All i ever changed on it were a battery and 2 original chargers. If they came out with thick usb cables like now, id have probably never even changed that. Battery, yes, i kept using il while charging like 60% of time for 3 and a half years. And i was a heavy user by definition the phone held on to that unbelievably well!
Except some very fine cracks in the rim and a corner i pulled off in the dark thinking it was some peeling paint, it all looks 9.5/10 factory new too!
All 3 buttons and usb not changed, most black paint still on the rim. While so many had problems with them.
Now i owe an S5+, sm g901f. Another beast phone! Hope i never get any phone deceptioning me any time soon and i also wish that to everyone in here.! plus many great roms for them also!
did anyone already succeed in flashing Resurrection Remix 5.6.5 on the good old S2?
Unfortunately the installation always gets stuck during flashing the rom on my phone.
I increased my system space to 1 GB already.
I think you messed up.
Seriously is there any RR 5.6.5 available for our device. NO. AFAIK RR marshmallow for our device is not yet compiled
1) If you like either of system fonts from Windows (C:\WINDOWS\Fonts) so just drag the selected font to the specific folder, e.g. desktop.
2) Download your favorite fonts from the website(http://www.fonts2u.com/)
2-1) just copy the two types of font (especially font in bold is a must (e.g. Verdana.ttf and Verdana-Bold.ttf) to the device with path system/fonts using root explorer.
2-2) Change Mount R/W as Mount R/O (as you know).
2-3) Backup the Roboto-Regular.ttf and Roboto-Bold.ttf (because I believe default font in AOKP is Roboto which is a custom font in ICS version) to other folders, then go back to system/fonts to delete it directly.
2-4) Long click on the selected fonts (verdana.ttf) that you copy from, rename it as Roboto-Regular.ttf and set its permissions as 3R1W.
2-5) Then, just reboot the phone.
