GT-I9100 [Development] Resurrection Remix 4.4.2 KitKat v5.1.5 [2014/06/09]

Hello guys. Got my S2 back after few months as my dad was using it.
I was on RR LP 5.5.9, last night i flashed IsoRec-compatible kernel(kernel-Lanchon-TRIM-IsoRec-20160206-cm-12.1-i9100.zip) and then latest RR build & GApps.

While going through this guide, i came across title - If you forgot to flash Isorec Recovery when upgrading, this is what you can do:
I would like to know does this step is really necessary?

By flashing the isorec kernel, then rom and gapps, you installed the (isorec enabled)Res Remix kernel that is bundled with the rom over the kernel you just flashed. If you reboot to recovery, you will see what your current recovery is. I'm not sure what is included in RR(I am currently on RR-5.6.8 with isorec recovery TWRP 3.0.2.1 by arnab). Most likely it is CM recovery, which is(last time I tried to use it) useless.

If this is the case, then yes, at some point you will need to flash a isorec recovery using that guide or use odin to flash a working recovery when you need one.

I went to recovery.. Its TWRP 3.0..2.0. So I guess, I don't need to perform those steps.

once you have flashed the isorec recovery it will stay on your device for ever (more or less)

so there is no need to flash the recovery everytime you update the rom.

but as there is newer version of twrp you could update to isorec recovery 3.0.2-1.img (you can use the present recovery to flash the ...img file)

Hello

It's been quite some time since I've used my S2. I want to give this rom a try. I'm currently on stock based (neatrom). I've installed isorec kernel (kernel-Lanchon-TRIM-IsoRec-20160207-cm-13.0-i9100-for-ODIN) using odin, with re-partition option and the "I9100_1.5GB-System_6GB-Data_512MB-Preload_by-the.gangster.pit" file (Is this OK?). Anyway, where can I find the latest Gapps that goes with the latest version of this rom (v5.7.1)? The link in the first page is for an old version (KK). I tried gapps for android v6 but it did not work (nothing was installed).

Am I missing something? What is the correct procedure for a first time clean install of the RR rom on the G2?

Thanks. Is there a reason why 4.4 and not 6.0 version? The latest rom 5.7.1 is 6.0 based isn't it?

You are on the wrong thread. This is the old thread for 4.4 RR. This is the thread for the current 6.0.1 RR.

And what is with your sig?? "AOKP/AOSP/Miui sucks!". First of all thats rather disrespectful of developers(on a developers website), and you are asking about Res Remix which is AOSP and similar to AOKP???

one problem with resserection remix

It shows system stopped after rebooting every single times

Need help, my SGS2 isn't booting up completely!

Out of nothing the phone keeps loading and loading (lollipop boot animation) forever.

I use it only for streaming music.
Installed is Lollipop as Cyanogen version.

Deleted dalvik and cache.
Tried to get into save mode - no chance.

Please help me to get the phone working again!
