I am running the latest cm12.1 version provided by adxamg and can confirm that usb-otg works fine, at least
- usb flash drive, 32gb, NTFS formatted
- mouse, can't see where the cursor is, but everything else works
- keyboard works fine, I can even choose the layout so stuff like äöüß works as well
I use this http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B004ULZD7U?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

I tried this here as well http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0051D3KQW?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage (micro usb to hdmi - hdtv)
- I get 1280x720x60 on my FHD monitor.
- Random reboots might occur
- When i tried to watch a video clip with mx player the monitor screen swichted in 1 sec interval between black and what's on my phone with sound not working while black screen. After ~2 minutes it stabilized, but just to go back to the switching with the start of the next video. Probably it's just too much for our old S2G. I tried to switch some stuff off as i noticed my wifi connection wouldn't lock in and i had no mobile internet, so i went into flight mode, started mx player again and now the same video clips work just fine. Deactivating flight mode just brings the switching back, flight mode again -> works fine.
- Sound via HDMI works perfectly fine, don't know if you can switch to the smartphone speakers but plugging headphones to the smartphone switches sound to headphones. Everything is pretty slow, but watching 1080p clips works fine and the phone is only getting hand-hot. Random reboots might still occur, but as long as you get your video running and don't change anything it seems to work xD

Ok, good. It could be implemented easily in this rom too.
About mouse/cursor issue see here. But it got not merged. Could be solved by using hardware/ti/omap4.

Are you sure it works with the i9100 not G model?

I started a query about OTG enabled ROMs for i9100. The only affirmative feedback so far was [ROM][I9100][LAYERS] MINIMAL OS [5.1.1][24-Dec-2015].

Well, no. I have a 9100g, this thread is about the g, so no idea. Maybe you should ask in a thread about the non g.

Yes, I already started a query in several threads. The background is I've built a little oscilloscope from a tiny DIY board called Xprotolab Plain and I found an app (Oscilloscope Pro) to display the oscilloscope's waveform curves on a smartphone screen. It needs a USB-OTG connection, however. My OmniROM 4.4.4 starts the USB host on startup but after a few minutes the connection is lost. I hoped to find OTG support in 5.1.1.

Thanks anyway.

No way to connect kies with omnirom !
If you want to restore file and apps do it manually (copy and paste )

i9100 advanced to cm13 nightlies - which makes that the first mm rom for the galaxy s2 - it seems to have a very decent performance... it slightly differs from our i9100g but that gives hope that our hardware is in fact capable of handling mm fine. Lollipop runs very fine on my phone aside from minor problems.
@Jiangyi - fingers crossed that you can get 6.0.1 to boot - may I ask how is that working out?

---------- Post added at 11:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 AM ----------

i want to restore my contacts and massages, is there way?

I suppose you mean "messages" - then it would be interesting which ones you mean

Whatsapp - prior to flashing save the whatsapp folder e.g. to external sd and then afterwards copy back (beware of time stamp issues - there is a root-app on the play store whicht takes care of that)

Threema - prior to flashing make a backup an then restore afterwards

SMS - prior to flashing use SMS-Backup+ from the playstore and save call lists and SMS to your GMail account - afterwars you can sync them back

You see, as long as you didnt take care of that before clearing out your phone by flashing the ROM you wont be able to get the data back....

Hi,
How to overclock the GPU on GT-I9100G with lolipop rom ?
Thanks so much !
Find a good custom kernel with O/C enabled(if any exist), flash it then install Kernel Auditor app and experiment with its various parameters.

If you're on stock touchwiz then you won't be able to O/C.

1. This is the wrong thread to ask about CM12.1, you should ask questions about the respective ROM in the respective thread, not just a random one.
2. There's no Lollipop Custom Kernel for the GT-I9100G. So no overclocking/undervolting/...

@Jiangyi not that I am eager to become an april fool :) but I am curious as if you managed to achieve some progress on the Android 6.0.1 OmniROM. I am still hoping for this new ROM to land on our phone now that the i9100 variant has a quite stable CM13... Will we be able to test some Omni pendant anytime soon?

Even Repartitioning for the needs of Android 6 has been made much more easy in the meanwhile: just some days ago Lanchon released another version of his REPIT Tool on github making it recovery-independant... (https://github.com/Lanchon/REPIT)

Unfortunately, I have been very sick over the past few weeks, and with school still happening, it's really taking a toll on me. I feel terrible for taking so long to get things done, but it's the situation I'm stuck in. I'm trying to get completely well in time for my final exams, and that's going to be my priority, so the dev stuff will have to wait again sadly. )-:

Well, i wish you get fine soon! That's always the priority. In time you can still get back to the Dev stuff - i am looking forward to that....

    IMPORTANT!

    Things you'd want to know:
    - Flashing takes a while. Up to 5-10 minutes. So be patient, it's not frozen.
    - Gapps DRASTICALLY reduces performance. I haven't worked out why or if there's anything that can be done about it. EDIT: Seems to be better with the latest build.
    - Booting takes an even longer while. Up to 5-20 minutes at the boot animation. So be patient, it's not frozen x2. Fixed
    - Daily functions (except for what's listed below) should work fine.

    20150623 Build:
    - 5.1.1 now
    - Fixed in-call mute
    - More SELinux rules, RIL should work fine for everyone now. If it doesn't, see instructions underneath the download link.
    - 3 months worth of stuff here and there in the main Omni codebase heh. Not gonna go through all of that. Sorry about the wait.

    20150322 Build:
    - Updated SELinux and enabled it: Please let me know if there are any issues that weren't previously present! Here's also the exact same kernel with SELinux set to permissive just in case: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByKvaiftk0pbTzM4VHh5WllEMkE/view?usp=sharing
    - Fixed up long press home button for recents menu
    - Add back Samsung specific camera parameters
    - A/V fixes
    - Added back Samsung extended AGPS support (Again)
    - Security fixes
    - Added silent mode
    - Changed the power menu layout/style

    20150316 Build:
    - Updated to Android 5.1! Lots of performance improvements and bug fixes
    - Note: GAPPS NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. See the new GApps link. In your recovery, make sure you wipe /system, and then flash the new build, and then flash the new gapps.
    - Home button wake is now put under Settings -> Buttons

    20150228 Build:
    - Fixed up DRM playback (Netflix should work now), huge thanks to @stargo for that! :)
    - Performance tweaks
    - Fixed Multiuser FC
    - Add back Samsung Extended AGPS support
    - Bunch of updates over the past month

    20150125 Build:
    - Bunch of updates over the past month (eg. Browser redesign, customizable hardware keys, etc.)
    - Fixed cell signal display
    - Updated low memory killer (LMK) and enabled KSM, should result in better performance
    - Toggling flashlight doesn't kill the camera now, but flashlight still doesn't work. Looking into it
    - Enabled dex pre-optimization, so I'm doing the optimizing at compile time on my desktop rather than you guys at boot on your phones. Drastically reduced boot time
    - Added back STK support

    20141224 Build:
    - We're at Android 5.0.2 now
    - PerformanceControl should work now
    - Advanced reboot options
    - Fixed vold and data more properly
    - Bunch of other stuff that I can't remember atm. It's been a while heh.

    20141130 Build:
    - Fixed Mobile data
    - Fixed camera
    - Fixed video playback in some circumstances
    - Enabled extended font support
    - Mainline changes
    - Latest version of SuperSU does work with this build, I checked. :p
    - Other stuff that I can't remember

    What's still broken:
    - Flashlight quick setting toggle does not work
    - Cell signal display is stuck at 2 bars, the actual cell signal works fine. Fixed
    - Sometimes the boot animation doesn't play; Does not affect usage
    - Adding an additional user triggers a soft reboot, but doesn't affect usage afterwards. Investigating. Fixed
    - Camera does not work currently Fixed
    - Mobile data doesn't connect Fixed
    - You tell me, that's how we get things improved around here :)

Guys, I'll be extremely busy for the next two weeks or so, as I attempt to finish all the school work I have before going on Christmas break. This is just a heads up that there won't be a new build for a while.

Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Free mobile app
    13
New build is up. See second post for a changelog.

The Wi-Fi issue should be taken care of now. If it still occurs, please let me know.

STK support is back, also please let me know if that works ( I'm not with a carrier that supports STK).

I also made a bunch of changes to the low memory killer (LMK), in an attempt to try to get better performance. Please let me know if apps are being killed too often though, as that could be a side effect.

The pre-dex optimization takes care of the long boot times, but at the cost of increasing the zip size. Just an FYI.

I still haven't figured out a solution as to GApps reducing performance like hell )-: (Though it's a little better with this build). It has been suggested to me that using these minimal GApps packages: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-google-apps-minimal-edition-t2943330 can help alleviate some of that. Please try them out and let me know!
    12
For those who can't root, try the latest SuperSU v2.30 from Chainfire: https://plus.google.com/+Chainfire/posts/1DJTvfjRFoe

I'm guessing it's the issue with the TWRP version packed into the kernel that was causing the problem.

I've been busy for the past few days with school and my personal life stuff, I'll push out a new build before the end of the week.
