Hi everyone, just brought a S4 mini dual sim. Here are the specs:

Model : GT-l9192; Android : 4.4.2
Baseband : l9192DDUCNG2
Kernel : Stock (3.4.0-2053775 [email protected]#1 Wed Jul 9 13:02:38 KST 2014)
Build Number : KOT49H.l9192DDUCNG2
SE for Android status : Enforcing
Secure boot status : type: Samsung
RF Cal: 2014.03.07
HW Rev: MP 0.600

Started this thread to resolve and discuss some issues as the ROM is recent and not much is discussed about it. Coming straight to point:-
1. Any possible and working rooting methods for this one?
2. I believe it does not have Knox bootloader, so warranty issues can be tackled by flashing it to stock. Am I right?
3. Battery drains rather fast. Have searched for it, but all previous issues are related to older firmwares. Any workarounds?
=>My battery drained from 100% to 75% in just 7 hours (overnight). I have both sims installed, WiFi on, WhatsApp running (received only 2 messages in that period), Google location service ON. Data Off. STILL i feel its a bit too much.
4. Any scripts for removal of Samsung bloatware (provided I root it successfully).
5. Clock (Time) seems to lag by 10 to 15 min after I remove battery for sometime (2mins or so). Date and Time setting is to manual. Previously kept it on network provided, but the time was 15 min behind the correct local time. thought it was a network issue. Still trying to monitor.
6. Sometime just reboots (happened thrice), every time while working on different apps.

If you have similar issues or have any solutions for the same, would be greatly obliged.:)

1) Yes It can be rooted - Read Here
2) It has Knox bootloader 2, you will trip it and loose warranty.
3) It is a samsung stock rom. As expected
4) Had seen a script somewhere, search the forum. I do it manually and disable/delete unwanted apps.
5) Never had trouble with clock. Always use network provided time.
6) I have had some random reboots but not too frequent. Before you do decide to root and void the warranty. Use the phone and if there are defects get them checked. Lots of bad handsets in india with 9192. I am running cm11 now with knox tripped.

My download screen shows:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9192
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0X30
BOOTLOADER AP SWREV: 2
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable

Since there is no info about Knox here, so i believe it's not there. Or else, any other method to check?

PS: oops there are preloaded knox apps. So you are right!!
Also can you pse provide link for cm11 and how has been its performance. Are there any issues with the rom??
Thanks

They are nighties so not bug free. I use a very old build as that works well for me. Cm11 build stable by sekil

You can try the newer builds too. Also once your root , you can flash knox free samsung rom too. Try towelroot and see if your lucky and knox is not tripped.

Are u sure it`s fixed ? I did write to them but i don`t know if they had time to patch kernel. Maybe i will try and use stock kernel for a while

I think the update is useless, guess I reacted too early, it was ok for a few days but, now again the battery drain and one new thing - the camera fails to initialize sometimes. I don't know what's wrong with Samsung guys??
Hope some geek gets some solution to this..
