gtalk and messaging force closing other apps

Hey All,

My first post ever on this super website that helped me root my phone, load Cyanogen Mod, and overclock my processor....

I have noticed (even before rooting) that when playing my favorite online game (armored strike) that if I get a text message, gtalk message, or sometimes even an email and I switch over to read it, then try to get back to my game, it ends up freezing the game causing me to force close...or the game will ask me whether i want to wait or force close and after several "wait" attempts I end up needing to force close.

It happens more than half the time I switch between the app and the messages. Any ideas on what causes this? If it is a known or fixable problem?

nothing?...no comments at all from all you super programmers out there? is my question too retarded and i do not realize it? :-( i am a most definitely a noob in the phone department but want to learn and have been getting into this stuff even though my friends call me a nerd and my wife hates this phone now....any help is seriously appreciated. thanks all.
