I flashed a complete Verizon dump on mine and everything worked except the radio, so I imagine it would be the same the other way around. By all means though give it a go, bear in mind they are different models and so most likely have hardware differences (no LTE upgrade in europe).
Explain "except the radio"...if your're unable to get locked in a cdma network (verizon one only works in cdma mode) and in your country ther's no cdma provider that make sense again :)
Hope that if you find and flash a gsm/euro dump in your euro xoom it will work again on gsm network :)

Lol, ok, I'll "define". By "except the radio", I mean that the radio does not start, network selection and data mode options are disabled in the interface, scanning for networks is not even possible, this would be available on a function cdma radio whether or not a network is present and detected. The device simply does not detect the presence of ANY radio, at all.

It's highly unlikely that there will be any way to switch the radio to CDMA mode without a baseband flash that configures the radio at low level.

Don't listen to me though, I'm just an Electronic Engineer, what do I know. :D

Well, you would do that by writing a new radio.img, but there's no way I'm flashing a CDMA radio on my XOOM so someone else can give it a go, I have a feeling it won't go too well ;)

What about a canadian radio and boot image
they don't run off a CDMA network

It's not a brick jus fastboot and flash the radio image I include in the op.

As long as you didn't overwrite system partition partitio it should be back to normal. If it still doesn't work push the module.

Yeh, guys, this will not root you, this is a rooted boot partiion (if i posted the right one) , it allows you to remount so you can root by adding the superuser apk and the su binary.

I will post a european guide hen i get a chance but i dont havr access to a pc right now and im xoooming all day long.

Ok, it would probably have been more helpful if I'd mentioned I'd had to root it after following the instructions, also that I had to unlock it first. Whole process couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes.

And yes, is confirmed rooted with busybox

Let me propose one of the root method which is not required to flash any boot image but is required to flash ClockworkMod Recovery and to use the recovery for rooting. This is for rooting only. It is just to push su binary and superuser.apk into system partition. Nothing else.
I already described step by step instruction here:

Clockworkmod recovery doesn't work on the euro 3G xoom my friend. That was the most obvious choice, but no go for now.

If you split the CWM image and the boot image, combine the kernel image from boot with CWM's ramdisk, you should have some form of CWM that might work. Obviously no SD card support though, but you'd be able to use unsigned zips.

Heh. I'm guilty of trying to use OCR myself, I recommend against it personally.

Yeh, the rooting process doens't erase anything.
