TITO BACKUP problem, ... it wont ask for root privileges so as far as its concerned nothing comes up, even trying to install busybox xd

Heh, I'v updated the OP, root itself does not erase, but unlocking your bootloader will.

I just remembered I should add another warning that we have no stock image to restorato yet.

yeah goodie ok lets be specific, yes unlocking your bootloader does erase, i think one thing you shouldnt do is tell people how to unlock the bootloader XD

i think for us we dont care over here in britain as we wont get a 4G upgrade lol

Thanks for the zip, don't take it personal but I'm not going to include everything in the first post I don't want to encourage people to follow tutorials blindly, and so I'm not including everything here, if they need adb and fastboot they should first find out what they are how how dangerous they can be if used incorrectly.

very good point, however im sorry to say to you on this one that root isnt working, running down the commands for adb su it doesnt bring up andy notifications or anything xd, i think either youve mistyped one of the commands or missed a line out?

adb shell rm /system/xbin/su
adb shell ln -s /system/bin/su /system/xbin/

You missed out a digit in the 755 bit (third line)

This might be alittle off topic, but I was wondering what is the 3G card used in the EURO Xoom 3G?

I do have a wifi version, and if I do manage to get the card myself..will flashing this will enable my wifi version to become a 3G as well??

(As I assume is just a matter of the difference in software)

Nobody really knows, however, some of us feel it's unlikely, since not only will you need the baseband for the card, it's possible the motherboard isn't even wired to accept the card even if you do connect it. We can't really know until someone tries it.

What I do know is that for our models, (3g) the radio is hardwired to the board, the LTE upgrade for US is a daughterboard, depending on the design of this (and whether or not it is a standard miniPCI (the connector is, doesn't mean it's wired that way) all affects the outcome.

@starchildx: You can use the standard American Wifi root for the Euro Wifi cause it's the same device.
