I have just been given a TF300 to play with and manually installed the update zip, Version WW_V10.6.2.11 from Asus website. I did this because I thought it was a more recent version of the OS, and the bootloader is now 10.6.2.11 (previous version was TF300T - 4.2.1 with 10.6.1.27). I am a bit concerned about following the instructions in this post if the bootloader I have installed will cause any problems as 10.6.2.11 never seems to be mentioned anywhere.

Is it OK to go ahead and install TWRP with fastboot on this bootloader?
Where are you finding a bootlaoder version ending in 2.11 for the 300 ?

Thx Josh

Damn! Just went back to Asus to look and I've installed the TF300TG version on my TF300T! Its causing "unfortunately system ui stopped working" every second or so. Did a factory reset and no difference. Now I see why! Is there any way I can reinstall the right stock rom manually?

Yes, there is ....

Get the correct zip from asus, unpack it twice, you will find a file called blob .....

flash this blob with fastboot ......

You may need to erase everything first ......

if you need any help join us on irc .....

Download SuperSu zip file from here (choose the flashable version) ]and place it on a SD card or inside the root of your tablet's internal memory
Reboot the tablet holding vol down, and when the three icons appear, hit volume up to enter recovery
When the recovery prompts you a password, hit cancel (this is a bug from the current version of TWRP, and it should be fixed soon. It is ok to ignore it!)
Flash the zip you just downloaded
Wipe Dalvik/Cache (just in case)
Reboot
You are now rooted!
What ? where ?
There is NOTHING, no SuperSu zip file from the link you post here.

How, by the Hell, Root a TF300TG ?????? Is that so complicated to explain it simply with ALL prequisites directly linked ?
And what about if i've boot-unlocked with the Asus app ?

Calm down - what is with all the shouting and drama?

Search xda for supersu and you will see the flashable stable version here:

Hello,
don t try this guide, it will brick your tablet. I got a hard brick with this, and now I have to buy a new motherboard or face the costs for ASUS rma.
Wtf guys?!

Yeah, I know what are you going to tell me, that I knew the risks. Is true, but I did exactly like the guide and I bricked it.
