Thanks for your quick answer! It prevented me from trying something stupid.

So I guess the only way now is to wait or downgrade the bootloader ...not sur the second option is possible

Flashing 4.2 will not wipe the data, but if you don't wipe data and flash it (dirty flash), you might get random reboots often and your tablet probably won't be as smooth and buttery. What I would recommend you doing is that you should backup all your app data using Carbon or Titanium Backup and just wipe the data. I did this and I'm satisfied with it.

Method 3 will be recommended by me. If you're comfortable with fastboot, that wouldn't be so bad either.

Probably compatibility issue from the app itself. I'm sorry to hear that. What I would recommend you do is contact the developer of the app.

TWRP and Root

I had issues with this also. I have TWRP touch 2.4.4 and downloaded image from asus. I wound up having to use fastboot to load the update TWRP is having issues seeing anything. In fact I was hoping to reroot last night with superuser 3.2. Problem is I can't get TWRP touch to find the zip anywhere. so we have conflicting stories here. I like the twrp interface but like I said I can't get to see any zips.

I had that problem as well until I rebooted the tablet into my Rom and then rebooted to recovery. Which sdcard are you putting it on?

TWRP issue

Nick give a few I am trying the patched twrp that is here earlier in the thread. I needed to reboot my server quick as I was doing something else..
I do really believe it is something in 2.4.4 and will confirm that here in a couple minutes. In fact I had did a completely clean install of everything so I shouldn't have had any issues. I will report what I find in a couple minutes.

Definitely at the moment seems to be something with whats in the current 2.4.4 file on the twrp website. I used the patched one and I could see everything and flashed the superuser zip in a matter of seconds. I am rebooting the tab now to check and make sure superuser took.

TWRP 2.4.4.0

Just flashed Superuser 3.2 RC3. Here is the thing...that's the second time flashing it.....first time while it said successful it seemed to not take. One of the following happened and I will confirm that.

1) First time I just copied the patched twrp and it said successful but when I went in Titanium Backup said it could not acquire "su". So after the flash either you have to clear the cache/davlik or you can't just use the patched twrp image maybe you have to use everything in that folder.

2) The second could be there is a newer version of superuser I don't have

This has been one of my more interesting flashes. Just a silly question and maybe i'm wrong. I could have sworn this update was 4.2.2 but if you go into settings the Asus rom still has it as 4.2.1. Am I wrong on the version and imagining it or what?

Latest Image, TWRP, and Root

Just booted back in tried to launch Titanium Backup Root Pro still says cannot acquire su.

I am going to try a couple things at this point

Reload Chainfire SuperUser
Reload Titanium

If that doesn't work copy the entire folder from the thread earlier in the post and run the superuser flash again.

At that point if it doesn't work I am assuming that it is either the version of superuser or where I am flashing it from on the sdcard.

Just downloaded SuperSu 1.25 and will try that I have been using the superuser 3.2 for so long. So we'll see what happens
