No. If you flash magisk always after ROM then it will keep encrypted but if you forget to flash it and reboot then it will try to decrypt and that almost always fails.

I have MIUI 10 8.7.28 installed now, but will flash 8.8.2 tomorrow. I have Magisk and a number of modules such as Viper4android installed. I have two questions. The first is once I have flashed 8.8.2 in TWRP do I then immediately re-flash Magisk while still in TWRP, or to I boot to system after installing the new ROM then go back to TWRP recovery and re-flash Magisk? The second question is will I need to re-install all my Magisk modules after I flash the updated weekly ROM? Thanks.

1. boot into twrp
2. uninstall magisk using the uninstaller
3. flash latest update
4. flash magisk
5. reboot to system
6. profit


first thing i noticed in global beta 8.8.2 is new lock and unlock sound.

I have Redmi 6, miui 10.0.5.0 Chinese Rom.
I'm trying to install Google play store. It's stuck at 0%

IMPORTANT NOTES:

INSTALLING GOOGLE PLAY STORE: (Only for MIUI 10 China Beta ROM)
1. Install Google Installer v3 apk & open it. Click on Blue symbol, Google apps will start downloading.
2. Install each app one by one till 6 apps get installed - Play Store, Play Services, Services Framework, Account Manager, Calendar Sync, Contact Sync.
3. Go to Settings > Installed Apps > Search "google". Enable all app permissions, Disable App battery Saver, Enable Auto start for the above 6 apps.
4. Reboot your phone, open Play store app and sign into your Google Account.

This way the device will never pass CTS profile/safetynet check.
