Welcome!

My intention in this post is to provide another combination for a custom ROM. After trying different other ROMs from other posts, I found a combination that fits perfect for me. These are the reasons:
- Good battery life (for me the best)
- Everything working perfectly (excluding the known issues: NFC, WiFi Hotspot, HWC? and camera crashing depending the used app)
- Hardware heys configuration (+RR configuration tool)
- Good performance

If that convence you, here are the instructions:

1. Download the ROM from the forum developers of S6/S6 edge:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...lopment/rom-resurrection-remix-7-0-2-t3936783

In my case I used the version: RR-P-v7.0.2-20190817-zerofltexx-Unofficial.zip

(Remember to remove assert line in updater script...)

2. Download the Note 5 kernel:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eSoVoNbN-YOsqcpDFyC2pIAkHDlYs1aY/view
(kernel source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/rom-lineageos-15-1-note-5-android-8-1-t3737405)

3. Download Gapps and Magisk:
https://opengapps.org/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445

4. Install it following the classic steps:
For me I do it doing a full wipe first, and then installing the ROM + Kernel + Gapps (+ Magisk) + wipe Dalvik / ART cache (+ cache)
*() are not necessary

Finally, I want to clarify that I didn´t work at all on the development of these parts and I want to be grateful to the ones that really contribute to that configuration (RR roms, RR for S6/S6 Edge, Note 5 kernel, Gapps, Magisk, etc.)

Note: I´m using an N920C, for the other models I can not say anything...

But, assuming the kernel is the same as Lineage 16... I will assume the same compatible models:

• SM-N920G
• SM-N920C
• SM-N920I
• SM-N920S
• SM-N920K (* seems not...)
• SM-N920L

I don't have time now, but one day I will put some screenshots. The important thing for me is that there is no battery drain, which means that when you are not using the mobile, it is almost zero consumption. (Maybe 1%-2% maximum per hour?)

Establishing Battlefield Control... Standby!
@Androids boys He's NOT the developer, and clearly says so in the original post. This is simply a GUIDE on how to get an S6 ROM working on the Note 5.

I am however concerned that there is no mention of where the Kernel comes from and who the actual Dev is, so I will be closing this thread for now until this can be rectified.
