This unbrick will work only when you bricked your phone. It's not an ilapo fix and your description sounds like one. Your best chance is using a modded boot image with just 4 cores enabled. That requires an unlocked phone though.. There is a guide from me to create such boot images here on XDA.
if I understand what youre saying;
I am sh*t out of luck, I should send the phone in for repair.

I do have dev options enabled, and toggled the "unlock " switch (I know the switch doesnt actually do anything until youve gone through the UsU).

The unlock switch in settings has no effect here yes.
Well either send it to repair, replace the mainboard on your own or choose a temporary fix of my bootloop fix list.

Ok then, I will try this firmwares: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848

Consider that ARB is 3, which firmware would be the correct one to use?

Edit: now after a pair of boots it started to get download mode in a random way, sometimes it does and sometimes it does not, could it be because I used a ARB 1 extrated kdz?
check known ARBs in http://bit.do/antirollg4

if you would have flashed a wrong ARB your device would brick so your firmware was fine

Thanks, but this strange behaviour could be due to ARB version? I mean, it is not the case that it just don't turn on, sometimes gets in LG logo, sometimes boot in qcom 9008 status, sometimes boots ans stucks at "download mode" message (the one with tiny letters) and sometimes it gets in download mode correctly

I would apperciate to discard another failure before trying ARBs and roms again (to avoid bricking)

Thanks again for your great job and completing the PoC!

There is a thx button beyond each post ;)

Well what you have sounds totally odd. It may be a hardware failure though. At least if you haven't flashed a kdz after using the sdcard unbrick.

As said:
If you flash a lower ARB on the sdcard it will not work.
It will be just a black screen without any USB detection.
If you flash a higher ARB it will work but increase your ARB ofc.

The mode with black screen and just some lines at the top is the fastboot mode and not download mode.

If you are able to boot from the sdcard have you flashed any kdz then?

Ok, this is a weird behaviour... i will sum up

1- When I first tried booting from sd card with H81111h extracted kdz it worked like a charm at first try
2- after a pair of boots, it sometimes get fastboot mode and somethimes not (as you see I could even get info with SALT about ARB and this stuff)
3- after more boots, it gets any time less common to get fastboot and more common to bootloop or just get it "Download mode" screen
4- finally, even placing a new sdcard with extracted kdz it don't work

maybe a hardware issue? could anything in software produce this progressive errors?

I would like to be sure that this is a hardware fault before heading the phone to dump :(

you haven't answered the most important question:
have you ever flashed a KDZ when you booted from sdcard?

I couldn't, LG flash tool got stuck in the process (having the phone in fastboot mode, I even saw some lines on the bottom of phone's screen when issued the update)

I tried h81111h kdz according to the used in as booting before

tbh the above sounds 99% like the mainboard issue. even when you seem to boot from the sdcard.
If you cannot get into download mode and having random reboots etc its 99% the ilapo.

Hi! I'm trying this with an LG F390 since I bricked my G4. After I do all the steps, the phone is recognized by the pc but nothing comes up on the screen. I can only see the no battery logo when i connected to the pc without battery (this won't show if sd card isn't mounted). Any ideas?

By the way, when I extracted the kdz file, it didn't have all the partitions mentioned in the post

your device may have different names for the Bootloader partition stack. Example xbl instead of sbl etc..

If you don't know them you can flash every partition except userdata system and cache..

I tried that too but the same thing happens. Only the battery with question mark appears when i connect it to the pc :(

Ok one step back:
Is your device for sure in 9008 mode?

What happens when you put in battery, take out sdcard and connect to pc in your device manager? Does the QDL 9008 mode appear in the device manager then?

s
Yes. when I connect it to the pc with or without battery and without the sd card, the phone appears as Quectel QDLoader 9008
