[GUIDE] [A2017G] Install TWRP, Unlock BL, Flash Custom ROM

I am pretty new to all this TWRP topic and have the same problem as Gryx, but i had no TWRP before.
Is it maybe because TWRP 3.0.3.1 is not comaptible with B10?

I am on B08 and flashed 3.0.3.1 with no problem.

Even twrp 3.0.4.0 didn't give a problem.

Do you have any idea, how I could fix this? At step 23 when I press power button and volume up the display stays black and only the red led glows.

Did you extract the twrp zip which contains the recovery? See pos 6

yes, i extracted the img from the zip

yes, but the process was much faster, than the one in 16.

That's possible.
The only thing I can suggest right now is to repeat from step18.Make sure recovery.img is in the right folder etc... When your phone reboots normally all should be OK imo.
Then shut down phone and reboot into recovery.
Otherwise I couldn't think of anything else...

Download the zip from OP.
Afterwards you can always move to the latest twrp (with twrp itself or fastboot: see my post)

OK, it works now. I was just too stupid to click on the right download button and thought it was broken.

hello guys!
I am going soon to buy this phone! and move from s6 edge.
I was wondering if its worth it? and if its worth the hassle to root/unlock and flash? I had a samsung phone, which was really easy to flash something custom. I am not new with this stuff BUT I never used "ADB", what do U guys think? please help!
cause otherwise I am leaning towards HTC 10!

My phone is the A2017U version on B27 firmware, I have a few questions.

I already followed the root without unlocking bootloader guide, so I have TWRP installed (but not SuperSU, that won't install, so I have Superuser installed instead) and it is rooted.

1. Can I skip all the steps in A and start with the steps in B?
2. Do I need a different aboot.img for the A2017U model?
3. Is there a CM13 rom for the A2017U model or can I just install the A2017G rom?

Just bought the phone (A2017G) a couple of days ago,but can't even find the right drivers to install it.when I plug the device to the computer via ''connect to PC software'' it shows up as a ZTE single ADB interface,but won't shows up if I connect via MTP. Is there any special driver needs to be installed?

EDIT: followed the steps from OP,everything was success,,,but still no twrp.Pressing volume up+ power button and just got black screen,red led and nothing else

thanks that was a big help! I'm finally on the last step but after I type in "fastboot oem unlock" my pc just says < waiting for any device > and nothing else happens. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Edit: fixed it by deleting and re installing drivers
