Hi, first of all thanks for the reply.
I tried using the toolkit by bkores here on the forum, I don't what is the EDL Tollkit.
Btw, the toolkit I used didn't work for me because my phone cannot get in BL Mode from recovery. I installed the driver and everything, but even manually when I entere the recovery the phone won't reboot to bootloader, but it boots normally. I don't know why and don't know what to do.
Not the one by bkores, the EDL Tool by djkuz is on the ROMs section

Ok, First of all: i did read OP, i did perform search and read trough all the comments.

I followed every step on my A2017G (went back to MM and so on.) But no matter what i do my no twrp can be installed and the bootloader stays locked.
I want to have fun with this phone! been flashing for a long time on a whole lot of devices now but this one is something special.

Can/will someone please help me?

Some people forget to do the second unlock step from within TWRP by doing a "reboot disemmwp" command from within TWRP or even from your computer using the adb interface while unlocking it, just tipe in your computer "adb shell reboot disemmcwp".

i'm pretty sure it only works through adb though

Not really. You can open a terminal in TWRP and type reboot disemmcwp. Also the TWRP 3.2.1-7 has a button in the reboot menu only for that step.
I haven't tried that button (seen it, but i have emmcwp already disabled) but I am sure that simply issuing reboot disemmcwp from the twrp terminal or from the system does nothing. 2 or 3 people from here (and me) wanted to remove that and the only way possible was via adb. That was about a year ago though.

For a company that has the crappiest software on the planet, they have to make it the most tedious process ever just to unlock the bootloader. I love how it's an option in the dev menu even though you need to jump through countless other hoops, download and install lots of shady apps and drivers, and then jump through even more hoops just to get TWRP running.

Never will I buy another ZTE phone. They pretty much nail the stereotype of "crap Chinese" software/ hardware. I am very happy to see that their duo screen phone failed miserably. LOL. Morons.

Lol. You'll be missed.

The option in the dev menu is AOSP, nothing else. And do the major phone OEMs let you unlock the bootloader easily? Samsung as the prime example? (Let's not even talk about Apple, but I guess you know you're buying closed-garden stuff with them)

The hardware on this phone is 10/10, tell me what is wrong with it. The only thing you could possibly say anything bad about is the back camera, which is no "crap Chinese" camera, since it's even made by samsung. Hell, the phone even has a vapor chamber on the CPU

The software is obviously sort of bad, but you probably paid $250 for this (or less), so i don't know what you expected. An OP3/T would cost you at least $100 more.
Try the leaked betas before saying anything else, though. They are much better than stock M/N

For the screen thing, maybe you could try KCAL? The saturation setting won't make the colors pop too much, but it's better. I don't see it as less colorful than an IPS panel but that's your opinion i guess.

Getting there...

OK So fist thanks for great guide so far... and I read through nearly all previous posts so I think I'm at the end of what I can achieve..

A2017G on B11 MM here, official downgrade from N (from ztedevices) just to be able to do this guide. Win10 64bit.

Followed step-by-step from OP works up to and including point 22 but stuck on point 23 (I have the 3 backup files).
PS - Zadig WinUSB trick was indeed necessary to finally get QUSB_BULK, but it worked.
(For any1 else stuk in earlier steps: make sure you're using administrator privledges for everything (cmd, zadig, ... everything) and just keep trying, QUSB-thing is really important - )

SO now stuk on point 23: black/blank screen after volume+ & pwr, with red led flashing. No way to "boot into TWRP" (point 23). Nothing to see. No old recovery mode with the small font. Ev. gone, blackness!
Holding down volume+ & pwr continued simply ZTE logo keeps appearing.

Normal start by pressing pwr alone works, then system just starts normally and gets into MM.

I used this "latest" TWRP from {outside link suppressed} "twrp-3.2.3.0-axon-7.img" because it was the link from LineageOS install guide and TWRP link from OP is broken 404 error (sorry, impatient...)

I think some signature recognition TWRP issue probably based on previous posts...

What should I do now, I want Lineage 15.1 on the device eventually... total n00b so talk to me like I'm a baby! No important data on phone, so wiping is fine.

I think TWRP version is the issue but how to proceed? Some people have said "flash TWRP again" but do I need to revert to the backups first? #confused.

Any1? How do I go about using a different TWRP version and which version will work?
