Nope, other carrier from Serbia but same problem as you have on Verizon, can have chat settings to appear in sam. Messages
Just wanted to give an update that the 8 days thing seemed to work. Waited and keep chat settings off for 8 days until today, when I turned it back on it immediately connected and RCS is back again. That same thing actually happened to me and couldn't reset it for whatever reason. I did find info that after 8 days(I think that is what it was) it should automatically reset. I did not wait because I being impatient and changed my number and it worked right away. So if you are attached to your phone number be patient and see if it works around the 8th day..
Nice I am stuck at that point again. So 8 days here I comeJust wanted to give an update that the 8 days thing seemed to work. Waited and keep chat settings off for 8 days until today, when I turned it back on it immediately connected and RCS is back again.
Hey so I just tried this on my s21 ultra but for some reason its not working. Yes the chat option is now there and both tabs are switched on but when i text it does not show as read. Am I doing something or do i have to wait 8days like I read from someone in this thread?
Am I doing something wrong? The chat option now shows on the messeges settings but it is not showing the messeges on "read" and yes the other person has the chat feauture on.
The conventional method doesnt work on Android 11. First Post is updated, you can find the instructions for Android 11 at the bottom of the first postHi. I have a samsung s20+ and I downloaded google phone and did the *#*#467#*#* but nothing is coming up. I hope you guys can help me
I dont have an active sim in my note 8, i can check that for you over the weekend. Ideally it should work, i used to have RCS on my samsung messages on Note 8 but it was limited to other Samsung users. Never got around to digging deeper. I have a Tmobile note 8. Here is what t-mobile says about RCS https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...note8/advanced-messaging-samsung-galaxy-note8Hi everyone.
I'm using vodafone on my Note8 (android9). RCS works on google messages but I can't make it work on Samsung messages - even after toggling RCS on and off via IMS, restarting phone and force stopping messages. Is this limited to android 10/One UI 2.0 and above only? Thanks
Annnd I'm back. Lost RCS since the 3.1 update on tmobile. I changed and the settings back for RCS however no RCS even through Google Messages.
That method hasn't worked for some time. You need to use Shield Alliance X method. But I have RCS on Google Messages only.Same, I can't even get the ussd code to work using Google phone. Anyone else experience this and/or have a fix?
Unlocked on T-Mobile
This happens to me as well. Pretty frustrating. Anyone aware of a fix?Works good if I'm sending 1v1 rcs or text messages. But group messages primarily MMS with non RCS users doesn't always send as MMS. Will sometime send to each individual. This only happens while I have the RCS toggled on. Leaving volte enabled has no effect.
Has anyone else noticed this?

1. Install Alliance Shield X >> Create account and Give necessary permissions.
2. Look at this post and follow
Let me know if it works
In case you cant see the screenshot - Just tap on the first option IMS service Switch, Then make sure MMTEL Switch and RCS Switch is toggled on.
If you see below RCS Switch there is a section titled MMTEL
Sub-options of MMTEL are
VoLTE
VoLTE-Video
VoLTE-Call-Composer
SMS over IP
Supplementary Services
Called Dial Third Party Number
JUST TURN ALL THESE TOGGLES ON
Confirmed to be working for ATTAlso, might add. IF you were previously using Google messages, then you do this, you probably will have to UNREGISTER from Google Messages for Samsung Messages to pick up RCS.....
https://messages.google.com/disable-chat
It works for other phones tooI have U1 on ATT prepaid so I don't have advanced messaging features, tried this method and now I do. Thanks

I just followed these steps this morning on an unlocked Samsung A51 and it has worked great!
Did you toggle the knox switch? Make sure your settling page of Alliance shield app looks like my screen shot and then when you open the IMS settings it will look like my other screen shot.. Then you have to go to activities tab and select the first from the list and pick open and now you will see the IMS settings.. Just toggle the RCs switches like instructed in first post.I only get unable to start activity. Unlocked on T-Mobile. On Sprint I had native RCS.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me regret buying a Samsung.
OK good news is, it (Alliance Shield X) just got updated on my phone and their Knox license is back and I can confirm that I was able to switch the IMS setting to On.According to their discord, SAMSUNG issued them a new license, but haven't cleared their old one.
That being said, all code to disable apps is being removed because THAT is what breaks the knox TOS.
Agreed. There is no reason for a carrier to make decisions on what you can and cannot use I you bought an unlocked phone straight from Samsung. Like how is it fair That Verizon gets to tell me what I can and cannot use on my own phone that I bought straight from Samsung and not them. And screw Samsung for conforming to them.I agree. This Knox license requirement came with their android 11 upgrade earlier it wasn't needed. I don't understand why they f*** with customers for no good reason. We can still get these Video over LTE features and all by flashing U rom via Odin but why the hell should we do that when a few tweaks were letting us enjoy our unlocked phones with carrier features (Carrier which Weare using and paying to) why Samsung had to take it away. This carrier control is fuc**Ed up situation in America and this should go away.
