He was happy to release the original 4.2.2 ROM with shonky bluetooth. I think everybody who bought a truesmart would prefer functional bluetooth over accel/compass/gyro on a device with no 3.5mm port. Especially applies to those who use it as a companion device.

Because people don't learn from mistakes?

Is there a specific reason that the more recent version 5.1352.01 is not used? (http://androidxda.com/smart-phone-flash-tool)

no, but included version is tested. if you want test it yourself, feel free to do it

To clarify I used it for the Unova firmware. The other one didn't want to boot for me so maybe that was the problem.

It's a kernel thing. I've managed to get both booting easily on the x201 watches.

What I need now is a firmware that has a 1900mhz radio.

S8 KK now on a Simvalley AW420.rx . Needed files used from Iconbit Callisto 300 download. "Ugrade" only possible with Flastool 3.x, using 5.x will get error and stop.

you may try replace modem_xxx.img in system/etc/firmware with the one from 1900MHz radio
then check frequency in engineering mode *#*#3646633#*#* in tab telephony, select BandMode

Okay, I want to tell you step by step installing Kitkat on our device
This method is tested on Iconbit Callisto 100 (rik81), Z15 clone (By Me) and Podor PW306 (Blufires)

1. using ZGPAX S8 Firmware, credit to rik81

Callisto 100 Flash Android 4.4 from Zgpax S8 Rom
Instructions - Follow these steps:
download here
1. Extract the folder "zgpax s8 new firmware.rar"
2. Delete the following files:
- lk.bin
- MT6572_Android_scatter.txt
- preloader_s8.bin
3. replace these files with those of your stock rom
4. flash with SP Flash Tool - mode Firmware Upgrade

2. Using UNOVA IRONMAN Firmware, By Me

Steps: download the firmware from this ( credit to kuronosan )
extract it, then rename factory_NONmodified_recovery.img to recovery.img
then use scatter in the attachment, do firmware upgrade
after finished, enter recovery then do factory reset

EDIT : this rom doesn't have full functionality of TWRP, you can't mount external sdcard

GOOD THINGS :
-FULLY WORKED BT Tethering
-Full AGPS and BLE Support
KNOWN ISSUES : SENSORS DIDN'T WORK in both firmwares

Google Apps (Play Store, etc) here, SuperSU (Root Access) here (put these on internal sdcard for flashing with TWRP)

Fix for Home button change into volume up in ZGPAX S8 firmware(Attachment, flash with TWRP)
For Custom Recovery (TWRP) you may use this (Credit to kuronosan )

Restore your backup which you should have made. Did you? Get it back to a working original state. Might need to pull the battery if it got stuck booting.

Running SP flash tool with the device completely powered down, click Download then plug it in. It should load the DA loader via virtual COM port and can basically flash from nothing.

It worked. I installed the original firmware and understand that Unova and Callisto rom will not work on zgpax s8. Thank you very much for your help.

did you use "download" option at FlashTool? Then only shown the ZGPAX screen. You must use "Upgrade" and FlashTool 3.1
but there is no reason to flash cause sensors didn't work

Yea, neither do I. Novelty. They're nice to have for shake to wake I guess? How many people actively use those functions?
