I have the same and what u can do is reset it. Then put your SIM card in it when starting choose your country and that will make it better . You will have to still install Google services .
Looking at the installed apps, it looks like "Google play services updater" is already installed. How did you install Google play store?

Recovery worked with Hisuite v9. 1.0.309

LATER EDIT AS OF 16.10.2019:

After some users tried to flash new firmware VOG-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.224 and failled, i've got to the conclusion that this method is usable only for flashing recovery firmware which is approved for device.

This guide is NOW WORKING for recovering a software bricked device.

Steps to recovery softbricked device VOG-L09/L29 on EMUI 9.1 :

1. Make sure your host file is not modified (remove any entry that points to query.hicloud.com)
2. Fresh install HiSuite v9.0.2.304 from the package in the link (remove any previous installed version)
3. Open HiSuite and check for updates (it prompts you to update to v9.1.0.309 hit ok and update)
4. Grab the file from here and replace the file in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\HiSuite\userdata\UpdateDogDev (leave the explorer window opened, you will need to replace the file later)
5. Open HiSuite, hit Recovery, connect your device in Fastboot mode (shutdown your phone, insert the USB cable and press Volume Down while you connect the cable to your PC)
6. Before hitting Recovery, return to step 4 and make sure that the correct xml is in place (double check)
7. Hit Recovery and then HiSuite starts downloading the firmware, unpacking and flashing it. When it's done installing recovery, your phone will restart and flash the recovery firmware downloaded earlier.

Cheers,
SilviuO

Hi guys, this might be some good news, but it needs more testing after the EMUI 10 update will be officially available.

So, short story is that i managed to use recovery for VOG-L29 using HiSuite chinese version 9.1.0.309 and it worked. HiSuite downloaded v193 (available on-line for my device) and recovered my phone. This method didn't worked with EMUI 10 OTA update, because for flashing recovery firmware it needs the PRELOAD and CUST firmwares zips too, which are NOT available on FF to download for EMUI 10.

Steps to recovery FOR EMUI 9.1 :

5. Put the full OTA file inside the folder where HStool is located (i used drive C, just copied there) then start HStool and follow the instructions. IGNORE when it asks to change host settings, just do the rest.
6. Before hitting finall Recovery (after HSTool decompressed files from OTA file you provided), return to step 4 and make sure that the correct xml is in place (double check).
7. Hit Recovery and then HiSuite starts downloading the firmware, unpacking and flashing it. When time comes, HSTool will replace downloaded firmware with the one you added in HSTool folder.

That's all you need to do!!! Make sure the correct xml is in place and test yourself to see if it's working.

I will update this post when EMUI 10 will be available (including CUST&PRELOAD zips) or after the FIRST OTA UPDATE from 9.1 to 10 (when we'll all have allready changed our CUST&PRELOAD to match EMUI 10)

Cheers,
SilviuO

Hi,

Firmware Finder:

Useful or not?
Hi m8, nope, those are not ok, we need 3 zip files, just like the files used for dload method (firmware, cust and preload). We need those toghether because EMUI 10 is more than software update, it updates the themes, preinstalled apps and more system settings. Those files are needed on OTA only when updating from a different Android version (in our case from 9.1 to 10). As i mentioned before, after we all receive official OTA upgrade from 9.1. to 10, those 2 zips won't be necessary for further updates ;)

Is this path correct?
C:/Windows/User/yourusername/AppData/HiSuite/userdata

I cant see any user folder inside of windows, but i do in root C:

Actually userdata on my computer is at: C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\HiSuite\userdata and the HiSuiteConfig.xml path is under: C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\HiSuite\userdata\UpdateDogDev

OTA 3 zips for EMUI 10 BETA

Thanks to @jeroenraven12, i've managed to get the OTA download links for EMUI BETA for C431 CUST. I will download and try to use the method i've described earlier and post feedback.

To use these files (CUST&PRELOAD) you must REPLACE THEM (after 100% firmware recovery downloaded) in C\Documents\HiSuite\ROM as so:

1. VOG-L29-CUST 9.1.0.4(C431) - Use the one downloaded from CUST C431
2. VOG-L29-PRELOAD 9.1.0.2(C431R2) - Use the one downloaded from PRELOAD C431

C431 EMUI 10 BETA v125
1. OTA FULL - http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G4705/g1755/v305331/f1//full//update_full_base.zip
2. CUST C431 - http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data.../f1/full//update_full_cust_VOG-L29_hw_eea.zip
3. PRELOAD C431 - http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data...ll//update_full_preload_VOG-L29_hw_eea_R2.zip

Cheers,
SilviuO

I forgot I have the P30 normal (Not Pro) but our forum is pretty much dead so I come here instead, is that the same firmware for this P30?
If you're talking about the firmware that i mentioned earlier v216, YES, it's for P30 (ELE-L09/L29). Just download it from FF (full OTA) and use it with HSTool following my guide from here (i managed to update to v193 from v185 - i downgraded using dload method -).

If you're talking about EMUI 10 BETA, NO, you can't use that firmware version (you'll need someone who's in beta to give you the download links like few posts up)

Cheers,
SilviuO

Yea just the v216 I was talking about, thanks, and is this going to wipe the phone?
