im desesperate. my p30 pro VOG L29 is briked afeter a huawei official ota. only appear the message of image.

i can enter to huawei recovery but its impossible all options. before the brick i dont enable the usb debbugin.

the otg method doesnt work, no read the pendrive (in my mate 10, works fine all otg adaptors, pendrive led blinking etc)

y try this post method several time, but always appear in hisuite "no internet conection", or "you device its incompatible for revovery.....

i dont know what i do for solve the problem.

please help.

this method shuold be work right? now i dont have my p30 pro. huawei said that ist my problem and not enter to guarantee... now my phone is sent to my hose (bullshit... the cause of brick its for the official huawei update )

I accidentally factory reset the phone after beta.. the beta app isnt available anymore. Nor can I install it now.. it keeps saying "App not installed". What can I do now.
There is no way I can update the firmware now? I am stuck with 10.0.0.126

Hi, I have flashed incorrect preloader and the phone at power on was all black.
I flashed board software with test point method and the I flash 3file zip with load method but I posted OEMInfo partition and 2 imei's
Actually phone start and work in all except imei

Boardsoftware wiped your nvmodems and oeminfo partitions : This is BAD NEWS as no software can actually fix that on kirin980 and kirin970's 2018 devices...

in theory, if you flah de mainboard via test point, you should keep the ime.... its weir mate

for test point flash you need an box or dongle EFT right? this tools its too expensive for me.
Sorry for answer delay....I was busy for work....
For test point u can use Huawei FlashTool idt 2.0 and Board Software for your phone.
On google you can search picture of test point to start flash board software.(I attached picture)
For step to flash you must do following:
1)Put your phone off
2)Open your phone following YouTube guide
3) disconnect battery connector
4) Open idt flash 2.0 select firmware board closing xml file into board software folder(obviously before you need full Huawei com driver installed on you systems) I suggest Windows 7.
5) Connect usb cable side phone and side pc make test point with a metallico object, and flash of board software start.
6) Reconnect battery soon after flash started
7) Wait flash cycle..

This is all...

Thanks broh, but i think that kirin 980 its imposible flash with idt flash 2.0 ,,old kirin no problem but i think that this method maybe kill The mainboard of p30 pro and dead phone

Ouch, EMUI 10 OTA... That's not good... I've been reading about some problems with recovery on the Mate 20 Pro forum - here - and it seems that the combination buttons for dload changed, BUT the bad news is that you can't use use any of the dload firmwares to downgrade to EMUI 9.1. The only way is only through HiSuite process of recovery or to wait for EMUI 10 dload version to appear.

It's strange that Huawei service center didn't helped you with this, because is not like you had unlocked bootloader or something modified on your device, it was just an OTA update failure.

You shouldn't delete the host file, only the last entries whitch points to hicloud.com (if they were any of it). If you need, i can give you my files (xml and hosts - remove .txt from hosts, as i can't upload file without extension).

My advice is to try again using HiSuite v309 as this:

1. Replace the xml file in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\HiSuite\userdata\UpdateDogDev\HiSuiteConfig.xml (leave the explorer window opened, you will need to replace the file again later, when you're in recovery on HiSuite)
2. Open HiSuite, hit Recovery, connect your device in Fastboot mode (shutdown your phone, insert the USB cable and press Volume Down while you connect the cable to your PC)
3. Before hitting Recovery, return to step 1 and make sure that the correct xml is in place (double check)
4. Hit Recovery and then HiSuite starts downloading the firmware, unpacking and flashing it. When it's done installing recovery, your phone will restart and flash the recovery firmware downloaded earlier.

Please reply if you need more help.

The OTG method Its weird.... I try 3 diferents OTG adapters with Toshiba pendrive 16gb. Nothing happen... Like if The p30 pro not recognize de OTG function... I try same OTG adapters on my mate 10 and everything ok. Recognize The Pen Drive perfect ( inside android working) as a storage unir.

Unfortunaly, The OTG method doenst work for me. The NV card i dont know, i havent an NV card....

Did you do the following:

- pressed the three buttons at the same time - Volume + & Volume - & Power button untill your phone will light up and vibrate
- keep the buttons pressed & only when you see the blank screen and EMUI screen you will release the buttons and you will see the firmware updating or recovery giving you an erorr about flashing firmware.

BUT i think that this method isn't working for you if you're in EMUI 10 beta.

Ok, i just wanted to be sure that it enters recovery or it's giving you any error whille trying to flash firmware.
Yeap, let's just wait for EMUI 10 official service firmware (known as dload) and we'll try again then.

Google Play Store issues on Huawei P30 pro chinese VOG-AL10

Guys, I really need some help with the following.

I have a Huawei P30 pro chinese VOG-AL10 version (Emui 9.1.0). The problem is that I cannot install google play store and use any google app. I tried GMS installer but it stopped at play services, saying that a newer version is already on the phone. I read that google play store should be available from Huawei app gallery but I could not fined it although my region is set to China and I use VPN.

This method is working only for recovering softbricked devices (using latest HiSuite available with the mooded xml file).
The latest firmware available is v193, with August patch. Nothing new released for P30 Pro. There is a v218 on FF, but atm there is no way to flash firmwares for P30/P30 Pro.


We're waiting for some info from here, maybe he will sort it out and we'll be able to flash firmware after it gets approved.

Yes long time, like 2 months, lol
I do still have P30 Pro in our family (from my wife) and noticed that this is still at firmware .193
So i was wondering if Huawei stopped releasing firmwares somehow, or that the OTA is broken.

I do see firmware .224 available in FF, but i am assuming that we have to wait for Android 10.
