This is a new phone, my girlfriend renewed her contract in order to get it, it came with an inactivated sum which gives me a MM#2 warning and I wanted to use it with metropcs here in Miami.

Mm2 error is when your simcard is not active! I saw that before! Replace sim

So you are saying that this unlock method is not working? Can you post your firmware with any other updates done on your phone?

I was thinking about buying an unlock code as an alternative but I don't know any reliable sources for that.

Did she activate the phone with the sim it came with? I don't think it would work unless you activate the note 3.

Have you tried cellunlocker .net website? I plan to do my unlock that way if this doesn't work. But I am still unsure if this chainfire app unlocks the AT&T Note 3
If anyone can confirm that, would be great!

In the box there was a sim which gives me the MM#2
other than that her sim works fine in the note3 I popped her sim and had full functionality.

I think I know what it is.. You need to call 611 from the phone to activate the new sim, I guess the sim you are trying to use that came with the phone needs to be activated with AT&T or whoever you have as your service provider.

I dont really care for the sim that came with it I just want my sim from metropcs to work with the note3 and with that sim I get MM#6, with the AT&T sim I get MM#2, and with my girlfriends sim also AT&T it works fine.

I believed metropc is cdma network simcards and att phones only gsm, maybe that is why

metro also operates GMS I have an iphone 4 from at&t currently on metropcs.

just tried cellunlocker.net the code cost me $30 and I still couldn't unlock the phone "unlock unsuccessful"

That's what I was wondering, and I was wondering if you can be in a different country and not on that network, because I'm going back to the USA and I'm bringing a British Sim card, and I was wondering if that would work.

thanks man, now I can trade my UNLOCKED note 3 for a tmobile one. Sick of this bootloader being locked!!!!

So about to buy a SGN3 and should NOT buy AT&T model due to locked bootloader? Even with provider of my choice: No root, no enjoyment!

Sorry, new project and posted b4 researching. Definitely staying away from the AT&T version. Going with the Tmo. Now to see what's happening with ROMs...

im new to the unlocking however i just had my att unlocked and wanna go tmobile if i root do i use att or tmobile.
