just fyi
I just bought a tmobile note 3 and they activated the sim.
Took it home...unrooted. Paid for the the region lock app....ran it, said no to reboot then powered down. Took my old ATT SIM card, booted up, no code was required it just booted up as normal so it appears all ran fine.

AWESOME!

Anyoe Got unlocked there note 3 in firmaware MJ5 ....!!! Even in any site please mention..

Thanks in Advance!!:(
I unlocked mine through unlockunit.com . Received code within an hour. It was $35, but they refunded half for recording video of me unlocking and posting it on youtube. Took them almost a week to issue refund though, had to keep asking for it. It was pretty annoying.

Phone Not Allowed MM#6

I purchased a SM-900A (AT&T) that has a blacklisted IMEI and was able to get an unlock code via fastgsm|dot|com to use in Canada on Rogers.

I was able to successfully enter in the Defreeze code when I was prompted to upon booting up the device with my Rogers SIM inserted but am unable to make any calls and am getting a "Phone Not Allowed MM#6" error code.

I've tried various possible options mentioned here on XDA including Chainfire's "RegionLock Away" app, all to no avail.

Firmware is MI9 and stock AT&T version.

Any ideas or suggestions as to what else I may be able to try? Would perhaps loading the Rogers firmware help?

TIA

have you tried checking the IMEI with Swappa here thru XDA? hopefully the IMEI did not get onto some sort of global blacklist.

http://swappa.com/esn

or maybe you could check it with Rogers somehow?

I did and it does show as blacklisted. I know Canadian carriers started using blacklists as of Oct 2013 and it does show as blacklisted in Canada also.

I never knew the blacklists of Canadian carriers include devices blacklisted by US carriers.

I guess in this case, I'll have to change the IMEI of the device. :/

Rooted and tried region lock away

Someone please advise me. I rooted and used regionlockaway away still nothing. I still have the message "Network Locked SIM card inserted". Please tell me what I should try next. Thank you.

It's Galaxy Note 3 N900A. At&t. Trying with a Vodafone sim card in India.

If you are on MJ5, you can't. I searched if I can downgrade to MI9 to unlock my phone, but couldn't find any.

I have an unlocked note 3 simply I went into the AT&T store where I live and said unlock it or I won't buy it and bam they did it. I have a simple pay as you go T-Mobile card popped it in, input the code and unlocked I was. I had to buy the phone outright so was costly but not at all risky. LTE showed up just fine on the T-Mobile network.

I can confirm that this exploit does not work with the new update (still 4.3 but the new modem update) N900AUCUBNB4 the NB4 update breaks this. If anyone has any ideas to get me unlocked let me know it'd be much appreciated.
