In step 13, after the .bat file did it's job and said it's waiting, I waited for about a couple of minutes. Then I proceeded to the step 14, which is disconnecting & switching it off.Guys i'm stuck at step 13, still says waiting for device. I tried the 3rd time now. Also when I adb devices there is no device id shown, however it shows before I flash step 13. Tried all the troubleshooting advice posted here...
I messed up step 19, and I redid the whole thing from step 9!Turn phone off using the power + vol up combination.

What exactly do you want to backup? I wrote here how to backup /system partition: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50559502&postcount=9How can I backup the whole phone before proceeding through the steps?
Have you read the 'Questions' part on the first post? If you did, then check what Riyal said.Guys i'm stuck at step 13, still says waiting for device. I tried the 3rd time now. 2. You wiped the userdata partition in flashtool as opposed to step # 11. Wipe [Uncheck ALL]

Please force power off your phone and wait at least 10 seconds to make sure the phone is really powered off and does not reboot (did you notice the 3 vibrates when force powering off?).Well, I'm stuck. Got to Step 19 but could not find my flashable zips (thought I had covered every possibility by copying them to both internal SD and external SD). But, evidently, there were mount problems and recovery could not locate any of the files. At that point, I'm not sure what happened, but now I can't get past the "SONY" logo on the first screen. No obvious way back into recovery, no sign that the device is recognized by the PC.
I can force power off and then boot into blank screen flashtool mode and flashtool recognizes it, but after a minute the device disconnects. Then "SONY" is on the screen and it's going nowhere except by force power off. Here's the log:
Although I'd like to get back to recovery and work on flashing the zips, I am more than happy to start over at Step #9 if I could just get flashtool to see it long enough to flash. I'll take any route to see it come to life. Help (Please)!Code:01/054/2014 13:54:06 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode 01/054/2014 13:54:45 - INFO - Selected Bundle for SO-02F. Great! Thank you! That got me back to a functioning Docomo system. I verified two copies of the flashable zips in each SDCARD.Please force power off your phone and wait at least 10 seconds to make sure the phone is really powered off and does not reboot (did you notice the 3 vibrates when force powering off?).
After that open flashtool (don't connect phone yet) and prepare everything as described in step 9 and click flash. Wait 10 seconds and then connect your phone in flashmode. After flashing you should be able to start your phone normally again. Copy the needed files to internal and external sdcard and proceed with the remaining steps.
By the way: Before formatting /system, make sure you can locate the flashable zip files in recovery!
Check out the first post, it's answered there under 'Questions'Great! Thank you! That got me back to a functioning Docomo system. I verified two copies of the flashable zips in each SDCARD.
I'm having problems at Step 13, running the dual recovery bat file - even though the drivers work to show the storage subsystems, adb is waiting for the device. It worked for me before, so I think I'll be able to get past that on my own (but if you have any obvious tips, I'd be even more grateful).
I'm really sure :cyclops: I turned on debugging and I'm pretty sureCheck out the first post, it's answered there under 'Questions'![]()
It took two more tries beginning at #9 to get there, but finally done. Thanks again.I'm really sure :cyclops: I turned on debugging and I'm pretty sureI checked the right boxes..... but I'm headed back to Step 9 to do it right. Thank you.
Just ignore the message and proceed since you'll be wiping system partition and replace it anyways. What's important on that step is you manage to install the recovery partitionOk so now I get the error in recovery, that it's unable to mount system etc? I thought in the last flash I have to exclude system(check)?
Edit: I can't mount anything, wtf? I unchecked under wipe all and excluded system under step 15. Maybe I am doing something wrong at step 16?
Problem is it won't mount anything even int. sdcardOn step 13. Did you manage to successfully root your device with Run Z1C-lockeddualrecovery(...)installer.zip? If so then your system partition should be intact.
Regardless just ignore the message and proceed since you'll be wiping system partition and replace it anyways.

It says root successful and it goes on about something like it booted into cwm and it should restart to clean itself up. After that I resume with the next step. It's the 5th time I now tried.
Offtopic: why are the xperia system sounds gone with EU 4.3 firmwares? On NTT DoCo firmware it's not the case

Holy smokes! I finally figured it out.
While in Recovery I had to flash lockeddualrecovery before anything else so partitions would be restored properly, then reboot and repeat step 19
Type in phone *#*#7378423#*#* and go to Service Info => Configuration. If bootloader is unlocked it will say: "Bootloader unlocked: Yes".Im selling my z1c and just restored my TA backup . How can i tell everything went ok ? Is it possible to see if bootloader is locked again and DRM keys are restored ? Sorry , im Sony noob![]()
The only thing i could find at Service Info => Configuration is this :Type in phone *#*#7378423#*#* and go to Service Info => Configuration. If bootloader is unlocked it will say: "Bootloader unlocked: Yes".
That means the bootloader is locked but unlock is allowedThe only thing i could find at Service Info => Configuration is this :
Rooting status :
Bootloader unlock allowed :Yes
It is allowed but it says nothing about the current status right ?
