So correct me if I'm wrong, if I'm reading this right, we won't need ZTE to unlock the bootloader right?just give the Devs. time and youll see
base on the new finding , NOP and thanks to @jkuczera for that.... just need to be in " B20 " and follow OP steps. So correct me if I'm wrong, if I'm reading this right, we won't need ZTE to unlock the bootloader right?
Be wary that while some brave souls in this forum took the time, effort, and risk to get us all the bootloader to be unlocked, please do NOT share this info outside of XDA.So correct me if I'm wrong, if I'm reading this right, we won't need ZTE to unlock the bootloader right?
I'm using the Axon 7 with Verizon right now. You have to allow roaming to access LTE speeds, but otherwise it works just fine. From what I've read, ZTE is in the process of getting Verizon to sign off on the Axon 7 so that it has full network access, but it can still be used in the meantime.Want this phone so bad. But 2 things are stopping me. I have Verizon, waiting for a reliable service. And waiting for root and good ROMS.
Will this work also on galaxy s7 edge Sprint?Be wary that while some brave souls in this forum took the time, effort, and risk to get us all the bootloader to be unlocked, please do NOT share this info outside of XDA.
Just a reminder to all of us here, and especially for those of us who are active in the ZTE USA forums.
Last thing we need is to have ZTE find a way to disable the method found here.
Thanks.
"So what you want me to do 'bout that?'"
Once the device is locked, you can only flash full images or OTAs that match the ZTE signature. None of which we have currently, and may never have. Even if you backup the partitions, you'd have no way of generating a package to match their crypto signature. That's an easy one: relock first, then flash to B20...
Is the galaxy s7 edge sprint a ZTE Axon 7? no? then it is unlikely to work, the file to be downloaded looks at a cursory glance to be very device specific. Will this work also on galaxy s7 edge Sprint?

Believe me that's the last thing I want, I don't even have the phone yet, hasn't shipped yet from best buy.Be wary that while some brave souls in this forum took the time, effort, and risk to get us all the bootloader to be unlocked, please do NOT share this info outside of XDA.

Happily, ZTE is not Apple. I don't anticipate them proactively trying to screw the developer and tinkerer base represented by the XDA membership. Rather, I see our ZTEUSA friends as reacting with benign neglectBe wary that while some brave souls in this forum took the time, effort, and risk to get us all the bootloader to be unlocked, please do NOT share this info outside of XDA.
