After completing the "Unbrick Process" step, I tried sometimes the ASUS flash tool with no success and then I went to wipe cache. Something went wrong and now I have the "dead android icon" with the error that it cannot mount cache partition. I cannot load the bootloader menu no matter what. adb fastboot not connecting and I can't fix it no matter how many times I run xFSTK process ...
Just restart the whole process from start. Unistall xfstk and android drivers and follow step by step the guide.
One addition: after the xfstk is done and the colorful flag shows up, after that it will go black but the backlight is turned on. Nothing will show up but it's actually in fastboot mode so you can flash the stock rom.
fastboot devices ( see if it is recognized: else plug out usb and plugin again) fastboot oem erase_osip_header fastboot oem start_partitioning fastboot flash /tmp/partition.tbl partition.tbl fastboot oem partition /tmp/partition.tbl fastboot erase system fastboot erase cache fastboot erase data fastboot erase APD fastboot erase ADF fastboot oem wipe splashscreen fastboot oem stop_partitioning fastboot flash splashscreen splash_sign.bin fastboot flash token MFG_BOM_Full.bin fastboot flash ifwi ifwi-prod.bin fastboot flash boot boot_sign.bin fastboot flash recovery recovery_sign.bin fastboot flash fastboot droidboot_sign.bin fastboot flash APD APD.img fastboot flash system system.img fastboot reboot
copy and save as .bat file, execute it while in fastboot mode with the fastboot.exe and the extracted files from the .raw file in the same folder, works like a charm
