Hey thanks for the awesome thread... Threads like these help so many unnecessary queries across xda...
So mate I want to change dpi settings to 240 from 320.. Changing the LCD line from 320 to 240 would suffice? Any precautions to be taken? I'm going to do it thru cm file manager.. After Mounting write perms... Thanks in advance!! :D

yup..changing the LCD density value should be enough..just keep a backup of the build.prop file..no need to change permissions ...

Couldn't say it better! :) Edit: but be careful. Some apps may crash.

Thanks for your build.prop. I'm usinig it slighly modified.

sys.keep_app_1=com.android.contacts
sys.keep_app_2=com.android.phone
These two entries are new to me but I understand what they do. How do I do this with the messages? By just adding sys.keep_app_3=com.android.messages?

Or are the messages included with sys.keep_app_1=com.android.contacts

They should keep the phone and contact app in ram. But they still can be killed if you use something like super charger or a app use lot of ram.

If you want to keep the message app the line should look like.

sys.keep_app_3=com.android.mms

After the = symbol you got to enter the correct app name.
