Have you tried a rom such as Alexis Rom? I personally reinstalled it last night, flashed Arter97 kernel (because Twisted wasn't fully unrooting for some reason); did the tutorial and I'm passing no problemo.
Uhm no? Because it looks complicated with all those packs
And i use audax for a while since its easy to setup and works realy well with ux mods

I can pass the SafetyNet using this guide. Galaxy Note International here, SM-N9005 (hlte), running LineageOS 14.1 unofficial. Actually I've tried already with Magisk 10.2 and phh-superuser before discovering this guide, only to stuck at CTS failed. Step 6 helps me to get through. Thanks!

PS: Btw there's a little error on Step 6 instruction.

Step 6:
Set Permissions

In Root Browser, go to the directory "/sys/fs/selinux" and find the file "enforce" and the file "policy". On the file "enforce", change the permissions of the file from "644" to "640", and for the file "enforce", change the permissions of the file from "444" to "440". If Phh Super User pops up and asks for root access, click "Allow."

For some reason, even after following step 6 I am still getting the CTS failed... which root browser did you use to change the permissions? I have even done the Kernel Aduitor step to see if that would perform the permission edit...

Any ideas anyone?

I was using ES File Explorer and MiXplorer, both can get root access. In my experience there's a time that root somehow lost in the process thus I couldn't change the permission of the selinux files. Iirc flashing phh-superuser-topjohnwu-r2.zip solved it.

Thank you!

thank you for the guide. I was able to eventually get it running. I am running a G920W8 and cannot use the Kernel mentioned in the guide. Any other Kernel other than Arter 97 resulted in no audio/volume during phone calls. The only Kernel i was able to install that didn't have the volume issues was Arter 97 Kernel v22.0

Sorry for the late reply but glad to know it works. I also have a G920W8 with Bell Mobility and I use Twisted V11.5 T-Mobile version and I typically don't have issues with it. Magisk V11 is supposed to be coming out too so it may work with more people now.

@xJovs

I installed the new magisk v11 on my s6 flat, it was fine until I changed the permissions for enforce and policy. Now my device boots until apps optimising and then constantly soft reboots.

Any ideas? It was on a clean install.

Haven't had enough time playing around with Magisk V11. If you're having issues I suggest you use V10.2 for now.

Thanks!

I literally just recovered my password on xda to reply on this Guide and say thank to you and topjohnwu for this, Working 10/10 on my Galaxy S7 Edge, not working with Magisk 11.1 or 11 tho, Im using Magisk 10.2, With Xposed modules, followed this guide and is working fine with phh r2, to use xposed i just turn it on on the xposed installer and reboot, to play any Safety Net App i just turn it off and reboot , guess Google don't like us to use a custom framework on an Open Source OS huh? , anyway, Thanks so much guys Cheers

No problem man. Magisk versions are weird to be completely honest. I believe Magisk V9 can still work in some cases, but none the less it helps you bypass SafetyNet which is the end goal here. :)

With the new magiskSU out all you have to do on a Cynaogen based ROM is to install Magisk manager and install Magisk from there, reboot, and then enable Magisk Hide and restart again!

I tried reverting to 10.2 but this process is no longer working on that version either as well as 11.1.

Both end up in a boot loop, my rom has recently been updated to January security patch. Maybe Google pushed out a fix.

Magisk 10.2 will not work on November 5th and above patches. However 11.1 does. Currently using OdexLite ROM from the Aria.97 with Magisk 11.1 and I'm bypassing no problem. The ROM is also running on January security patch and it's been passing safety net no problem. Make sure you are setting the correct permissions. If you are, then I legit have no idea what to tell you bud.

Edit: just reading over your post again, are you on stock Samsung ROM? If so then that's probably your issue. But I highly doubt you are though as this is a thread for custom ROMs and kernels only lol.

I'm on Griffin rom which is stock based, also topjohnwu has said there are currently issues with 11.1 and Samsung devices.

It works fine and passes up until the kernel auditor permissions, then when I reboot it boot loops. The permissions work fine if I manually set them via root browser but obviously a pain to reset them upon every reboot.

I know this is one method of bypassing safetynet, but has anyone here tried Quintz nog33k kernel at all, it has safetynet patch included. I know it works as I'm running it now fine with snapchat.
