ok here it is the way to get the original M red logo and the boot animation of Defy
there are three attachment

download the original zip cm7.1 for defy http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/update-cm-7.1.0-jordan-signed.zip
then download the three files attached files

boot.img
logo.img
bootanimation.zip

extract the original zip file http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/update-cm-7.1.0-jordan-signed.zip
replace the boot.img and logo.img in the zip file
replace the bootanimation.zip file in system/media folder

zip the file again
just remember that you zip the file properly so that the directory structure is maintained as original.

Install it !

I can't uncompress your bootanimation.zip :S

The structure of my bootanimation.zip for my CM7 rom is \android\; \part1\ and desc.txt -> [480 480 24
p 1 0 android
p 0 0 part1
]

you dont need to unzip the bootanimation.zip
you just have to copy it in the system/media folder
the boot animation is for motorola defy only.

and boot.img and logo.img in the root folder of CM7.1.0 and rezip it and install it

thanks popcorn1122. but i'm looking for a zip file (containing just the logo image) that i can flash after installing a rom so that i can change the logo if i don't like it.

btw at the moment i want to use it with motoginger 2 rom, which is just a nandroid backup. so if i restored it from the unofficial cm7 rom, i'll get the cyanogen 7.1 logo with the flying bee. and i can't use that method in the link since i'm not flashing a rom.

anyway that method is not very convenient compare to just flashing a small zip file don't you think? beside with what i have in mind, we can then have many different type of logo zip files and we can pick and choose any logo we want with any rom. isn't that a good idea? :)

Have a look at rom toolbox on the market, or motomizer, both have tools for changing logos without flashing
